In the main they're overpriced as you're paying for "the wrap" - and people don't like what's in them.
My sibling bought mum/dad a hamper one year - all strange/middle class stuff that my elderly parents (who mostly ate mince and potatoes, or a pie) had never heard of and would have NO idea how to use. It all ended up just being unwrapped, wicker basket in the bin, food shoved into the cupboard, then slowly just thrown away over the next 2-3 years as they don't eat that stuff.
That's a shame!
If they get a hamper from anyone again try giving the food away on Olio if there's no-one nearby that would have itCould you do with a Money Makeover?
