What does around 9-15 am mean

It depends who has said it ..
If it is a professional, say a nurse or doctor or some such then i would expect them 15 mins each way.
If it were a builder or a delivery then perhaps i would expect some time from 9-15 untill 10-30 and then arriving with an apology
It really is subjective
If it's a healthcare professional I'd expect them at any time that morning. They never know what each appt will bring so delays are inevitable and it's not always possible for them to call and advise on delays.
Agreed on subjective, someone coming from round the corner with no prior commitments is more likely to be on time than someone from a distance with several earlier calls.0 -

Am I the only one who thinks the "am" is a typo. Remove it, and it's 9 to 15, ie. 9 to 3pm, more likely for Yodel?Peter

As the OP has posted on another thread since it looks like he/she is just wasting our time.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

The person turned up at 8.45am. The reason why I asked is because my girlfriend sold something on facebook and someone came to collect when she was in work and I knew nothing about what she had sold and the person didn't know what they was collecting. Now normally when my girlfriend sells something and she isn't going to be home when someone is collecting she puts the items in our shed so I goes to have a look and their is an item but I didn't think it was worth how much the person said it was so I asked what they wanted to do and they said they would take it and if it's wrong they would bring it back. Later on my girlfriend gets home and I told her that someone came to collect something so I gave them the item that was in the shed and she told me I have given them the wrong item and that they shouldn't have been coming until 9.15 so I told her to check her messages to see if it was the correct time and when she showed me her phone it showed around 9-15 am so I said the - could mean between 9 and 9.15 but all she did was argue that they was still early turning up at 8.45.0

I don't understand why your girlfriend didn't tell you that someone was coming to pick something up. It's also strange how the person didn't know what they were buying but you still happily handed over a random item to them.0 -
It depends who it is. I've one friend who I'd interpret that as "If you've not heard from me by 9am I'll probably be there 9.15-9.30 - but, as you know, I'm unreliable, so it's likely I'll text you at 9am saying I can't make it at all ... or let's make it 10.15".
The answer ... depends on the person/situation.0
