Of course you are not expected to be awake at 5am. But it would have got you the cheap flight.

The major downside of ITA matrix is that unless you're wearing 2 anoraks, you can't book directly from the website.
I've had very mixed results with momondo. For a straightforward out and back flight, they're OK (but some of the OTA that they link through to seem to have baregpole bruises on them), but for complex/multistop itineraries that I've looked for, its rolled over and asked for its tummy to be tickled.
With all of that, it still came up with flight options that couldn't be booked and didn't appear to exist. But in the main it is a useful tool.
I made a point of posting BudgetAir quotes and not the likes of Opodo and eDreams.0 -
