Lifetime ISA and H2B ISA

Hi,

I know if two people have lifetime ISA's they can use them together, likewise with two people both with H2B's.

What if one person has a lifetime ISA and one person has a help 2 buy?

Can they be used together?

Thanks in advance :) :money:

If you mean can they both use their respective ISAs to jointly buy a property, then, yes they can. As long as they are both first time buyers and the property meets the max price criteria.

  • I didn't think you could use one each? Whenever I have asked I have been told no?

Each qualifying individual purchasing property can use either account but not both. Obviously your solicitor would need to do the leg work on each account which could slightly increased your conveyancing costs.

I guess that would depend on who you asked;)

If both are FTBs they can each use either a HTB or LISA.
