John Lewis Aftercare vs AppleCare on new iPhone
Morning all
Going to buy a new iPhone and weighing up the costs of repair should I drop it.
I have phone insurance as part of my bank account and Home contents but think that only covers theft. I’m looking at AppleCare cover at £199 so a broken screen repair doesn’t cost me the Earth (circa £400!!!)
I noticed on John Lewis website that they offer aftercare for £139 which seems to cover damages over 2 years with no excess. This seems too good to be true.
What’s the general view on John Lewis aftercare and would I be better off with a diff screen insurance policy?
Thanks

I faced the same choice and chose the John Lewis aftercare because it has no excess on screen replacements (as I recall, at least), but I haven't had to claim on it yet so can't really recommend.0
