    There is some confusion here!

The OP took the issue of getting the meter changed to the Ombudsman, and the meter has now been changed.

The OP's concern is now the recommendation that the bill be reissued based on current consumption. As posted in post #8:
You have made the assumption that the daily spring/summer consumption will be calculated at the same daily consumption as this winter. e.g. If you are using, say, 50kWh a day now, then the spring /summer will also be assessed at 50kWh a day.
If the OP's assumption is correct, then they will have grounds for complaint. However until a bill is received there is no issue.

Personally I think the OP's assumption is wrong and the back-bill for Spring/Summer will not be based on winter consumption, but will be seasonally adjusted

If it is not seasonally adjusted then a complaint is the way to go, but until a bill is issued there is no way forward.

These are not assumptions that I have made. When in discussion with the Ombudsman regarding rebilling the account I was informed that the account would be rebill based on our consumption in the months following the meter replacement. When I asked the ombudsman for clarity as to whether this would be readjusted taking into consideration winter vs spring-summer consumption, I was informed that it would not. Hence, why I refused the ombudsman's report recommendation.

With respect the Ombudsman wouldn't have a clue about such matters.

When they say 'based on our consumption in the months following the meter replacement.' that doesn't preclude it being seasonally adjusted.

Why not ask your energy supplier for a bill and if it isn't seasonally adjusted, then you have grounds for a complaint.
