False advertising Tui

I don't see photome's comments and initial reply to you as bullying.
I see you having a rant and not liking the replies you have received from contributors as they don't align with your first post. That's not bullying and when you post on a public forum you may receive other view points. Like it or not, that's what happens.
Rather than shouting about false advertising and being ripped off I would have been more respectful of your comments if you had instead framed your post as a general cautionary warning to others who might be thinking of using TUI.
A less accusing post, along the lines that in your experience you missed seeing the terms and conditions relating to cruise+hotel bookings and how that impacted you might have been better. You could of asked others if they thought similar and if consensus was that Operator could make things clear when advertising. Perhaps, dare I say, you could even admit that you were wrong and did not read the T&C's, and how you have been impacted and maybe others would be more sympathetic.
The sad thing is that I think if you had framed your posts better you may have received constructive comments and ideas.
With the same attitude shown from your posts I can also perhaps see why TUI are not supportive to your complaint. I actually think if you had calmly approached this with them and pointed out your booking experience, that they may have even given you the advance flight seat assignments and extra luggage allowance to you as a customer exgrata settlement. I think you have missed that opportunity.
Hope you have a nice cruise and holiday. Barbados is lovely.0 -
... Rip off Tui or Thomsons what ever they are this week. Makes me question why did they ever change their name.
Actually, this week they are called Marella Cruises!

They were rebranded Marella when Thomson were rebranded TUI.0 -
Its false advertising. I screen shot it the time I booked it. So the small print in some ramdom very long TC apparently says this now?
It's not false advertising. You have to tick a box to confirm "I have read and accept the booking conditions, privacy policy and important information."
Just because you chose not to read them doesn't make it false advertising. It makes it a rather careless mistake on your part. How many contracts do you enter into without reading them first?0 -
I haven't bothered trying to replicate the booking process, but if the only mention of certain key benefits not bring available is buried away in several pages of T&Cs (albeit near the top somewhere), when the web site itself happily promotes the joys of such benefits in a more prominent position, perhaps there is a case to answer.0

I've done a dummy booking for the Waves resort as an add on and on the "What's included" breakdown it states overseas coach transfers and no mention of extra luggage or seat choice. This is on the booking, not in the terms and conditions.
Strikes me that OP failed to read the specifics.0 -

Yes I too did a dummy run and the hotel still says Al a carte and on the picture it self it stil shows what you get for Al a carte.
Yes you are correct too that I didnt read all the small print and took it for face vaule that when you book a hotel and the hotel shows as Al a carte that is what you are paying for.
Tui reponse to myself was all about a Al Inclusive holiday at Barbados and what I would not get there for the Al Inclusive. I am not going Al inclusive I am Breakfast only. If that is not rude what is. I take it on here I have no right to so call rant about that and thats my fault too how they answered. I have simply asked them why it is showing in their hotels as. A la carte but yet its not.
Please feel free to do a dummy run and if Two oceans does not come on as a Al a carte hotel in a big picture telling you all about what you get for Al a carte with a weeks cruise before then I will go away with my tail between my legs in shame.
I have used Thomsons for years I am well travelled. I have never been asked to pick a hotel read about it then beacuse I havent read all the TC got something different to what was shown.
Missleading faulse advertising what ever you would like to say.0
