False advertising Tui

Booked my dream crusie for a week away. Then I had a drop down box of hotels I could book for my second week to rest off the cruise Bardados style. I picked a al a acarte hotel as this came with free choise of seats for the plane, car transfers and a little bit extra luggage. Now I am told sorry with you going on the crusie first it is no longer a al a acarte hotel. I have been into Tui shops no help as I booked on line. Telephoned and been passed over and over losing count how many calls. I have emailed and got a reply on a total different subject that has nothing to do with your my hoilday. Tui have falsed advertised in my eyes but avoid the question when ever asked. I even screen shot when I booked it which I am so glad I did. I feel if I dont pay for my seats I will be sat away from my partner but if I do they have ripped me off. Its not even about the money any more. Rip off Tui or Thomsons what ever they are this week. Makes me question why did they ever change their name.
Sorry for rant could someone please tell me my rights.

Did you read the terms and conditions?

Please note, A La Carte benefits will not be available if you're combining your stay in an A La Carte hotel with a tour, a cruise, or a stay in another hotel

No rip off and the name change was announced a couple of years ago and the reason why. Nothing like a good conspiracy theory though lol.

You have no rights. You agreed when you booked that you accepted al a carte benefits didn't exist when you combined an al a carte hotel with a cruise.

The response from Hogman answers your question.

Basically, what you claim is incorrect and Thomson / TUI have nothing to answer for.

Just forget about it and enjoy your holiday.

Would be worth changing the thread title as it's currently defamatory.

No one reads T and C.

It’s much better to come on a forum and shout Rip Off etc even when it’s not ;)
  • The web page says would you like to combine your hoilday with a week at Barbados too. It then drops down the hotels of which you can choose. Our hotel was advertised as al a carte. Its false advertising. I screen shot it the time I booked it. So the small print in some ramdom very long TC apparently says this now? Sorry but why was it even advertised and not even * saying but not with this deal etc ? I did not ramdom go to another web page and choose a hotel I chose from thier list that went with the weeks cruise. You can say it misleading or false advertising. Either way I hope I help other who will be fooled by their web page. If you looked in a shop window and they said three for two and only gave you two. Would you say thats ok ? Also on my complaint Email why are Tui going on about a all inclusive week in Barbabdos that we haven't even booked ? Its a mockery of people. Plastic empathy to something that didnt even concern us. Forums like these are to protect and help Jo public. Who knows maybe we will end up in Brazil change of plan Tui decided beacuse in some small TC it says subject to availability but we never asked what it truely meant.
  • Photome when you have walked in my shoes then feel free to criticise me. I have not directed my rant to one person but to a company. I have been a member on here a long time. I posted for help not snotty remarks. Cyber bulling is not nice.

I’m afraid I can’t agree with you. Forums like these are here to be fair to both sides -the public and the service provider.

You now just sound like you're having a rant and as others have said the terms and conditions appear to have been fairly clear, if you didn't read them then fair enough but don't moan.

If you think you have a case make a formal compliant and then go to,the regulator. If this is rejected then you still go to court, but that might be expensive and ill advised I'd suggest.

To be fair the fact this is still up with the thread title suggests that Tui are a legitimate company. If they weren't then legal letters would already have been issued and mse would be running around deleting posts and removing threads as happens so often with dodgy financial firms.

I am sorry if you feel it was bullying.

If you had come on and had a rant, you wouldnt have got the comments you did get

but you didnt , you accused them of false advertising ad ripping you off, neither of which was the case,

People often come on here and post they were ripped off but more often that not it isnt true
