Edf and oil issues

I arranged with edf a payment plan of £80 per month due to bill being high. They took out £500 in one payment and put this £500 on a monthly direct debit by 'mistake'. Refused to properly answer complaint. Had oil leakage more than once due to someone tampering with my oil tank. Housing !!! did nothing despite financial loss and leak into garden. See other thread under phones. Nothing but problems caused by other people due to taking on the NHS (only had 'problems' since then.) Also issues with 2 local banks , one of the staff telling me my information wasn't private! (My info has been improperly shared). (I didnt make a complaint when lloyds bank put £5000 of my money in to someone elses acc by mistake). Harassed by environmental health officer while in town. No complaints addressed, fobbed off or ignored. The common theme - harassed or caused unnecessary problems by people in authority who are sharing information. I couldn't list all the problems caused by others but the msg from them is clearly - complain about the NHS and you will receive multiple ongoing problems by various people. Reside in Cumbria

    I will only advise on Energy related issues here, as this is a sub-board of the Energy board.

    In regards to direct debits in favour of EDF, all direct debits are covered by the direct debit guarantee. That includes the necessity to have proper advance notice of the amount(s) to be taken and when.
    Any failure in this regard, either the amount taken and/or the date(s) it is taken would give rise to a valid claim. Claim direct from your bank who will arrange an immediate refund (at least before the end of the business day)

    I am sorry to hear that someone has tampered with your oil tank, causing loss and damage. Did you report this matter to the police?
    Unfortunately, unless the culprit can be identified, you have little chance of restitution - they are ultimately responsible.
    You may want to check if you have any insurance that may cover the loss and damage caused.
