  • Just a quick update on this. I didn't get any response at all from the autotrader advert but have sold the car to someone I know for what WBAC offered. Thought that someone might as well benefit from a cheap car and it saves me having to deal with WBAC.
  • You in all likelihood got more for it then that WBAC would have settled with you on. Their branches are incentivised to get the price down, based upon the wear and tear on the vehicle.

I guess so. They would be hard pushed to do so as there is nothing wrong with the car and has full service history.
I suppose we both come away happy.

They'll find something, whether its "sorry sir the valuation has changed since you booked", and then there's the buying fee and stuff. So getting face WBAC value privately is a lot better than you'd get from WBAC yourself.

WBAC are not helpful, their website said £950 for my car after I had ticked the right mileage and condition... and then when I actually took it to their office they offered me £150. I told them I could get more for scrapping it.
