  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Short and sweet this morning, cleaner is coming, just want to make sure everything is tidy at least!!

I managed to sort out the two photos last night and printed them, I just have to trim them and get two frames.

I also sorted the cursor on my lap top,. I am a bit disappointed the techie chap has not been in touch. I do love my tablet but its awful trying to type on it, welcome back cursor!!

We have had rain during the night, but its ok for the time being, just a slight breeze.

The chaps are coming to look at the shed this afternoon, wonder if they will say we need a new shed,,,,aarrgghh....... the warping is getting worse.

Fish and chips tonight. We were home early from my quilting friends yesterday so I did the beef stew for supper, delish!!
  • Morning all,

    Hope everyone is doing ok.

Yesterday was date night with my gran and we didn't leave the dinner table. We ate and then chatted all night, it was great. Probably went to be around 9.45 and soon nodded off.

Tonight I'm doing to my mates house once I've had dinner to chill out and play the Xbox for a bit which will be good.

Tomorrow I've got a boxing class in the morning then I'm lunching with other friends (cheap and cheerful) then I'm being treated to dinner in Edinburgh with the folks.

And on Sunday I'm walking a munro with my friend and his dog before enjoying the usual Sunday roast at my mums!

Lainey - Glad you enjoyed your trip the 'Burg.
    Hester - Good luck tonight!
  • Morning all, a proper day off today and I'll be doing the Friday Tidy.

I'm working tomorrow as 6 of us are needed to staff an event.

Then Sunday and Monday off, woohoo

I need to get some washing on the go.

nmlc, I'm glad your husband has been to the gp.

I went for boob squashing yesterday at the new boob unit at one of the local hospitals, a lot posher than the mobile unit and I was seen early, less painful than last time too. I had the appointment through, and a few days later, a letter from our surgery telling me I'd failed to attend and would be sent a new appointment. Apparently this has been happening a lot recently, the radiographer says she has seen a fair few annoyed women who, like me, don't ever miss their appointments. What a lot of money must be wasted.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Morning all. I've just been to buy some wool to make a baby blanket for the HT's teacher who is due a baby girl in January. It will be nice to make something in pink for a change. My leg is in "half compression" to start me off gently. The ladies at the leg ulcer clinic were lovely but unfortunately the cuff for the doppler test had to go round the bit of my leg that I have hurt so it was squeezed none too gently four times. It was so sore last night that the only way I could stop the pain was to lie in bed with my leg hanging out of the side of the bed towards the floor. If I tried to put it level with the other leg on the bed, the paid was horrendous. Luckily it's so well wrapped with compression bandages it didn't feel cold even though I couldn't cover it up. Hopefully this will improve the healing process (the compression, not sleeping with a leg hanging over the side of the bed :rotfl: )

nmlc I have asthma which rarely bothers me but can turn into a full blown asthma attack after a bad cold. Hopefully once Mr nmlc has taken his medication for a week or so he'll feel much better and he'll recognise the signs next time.

Speky your gran sounds lovely. If we were closer I'd fancy a natter and a cuppa with her too. My gran was also from Glasgow.

Jackie I hope your DD feels better after having the stitches out. Still thinking of Frank, Margaret and the rest of your family.

silver-oldie well done on your weight loss. I'm finding it so much harder to lose weight post menopause than I used to. I haven't been thin since the hormones kicked in during my teens (PCOS) but at least if I made the effort I could lose a pound or so a week. It all seems so much slower now.

    Take care all of you.
  • Hi all

Not a lot going on here at the moment. I did some white washing but haven't put it out as the weather looks a bit stormy although the forecast doesn't show rain until this evening.

DH has gone to pick up DGS and DD from the eye hospital. He has a birthmark above his left eye and they regularly check the pressure in this eye. DGS hates hospitals and will be upset. DD has to work this afternoon so DGS will come here. It would be heartless to send him in to nursery after that.

Lots of snuggles with Grammie and Grampy this afternoon. I have a stash of Jammie Dodgers too.

Later this afternoon DS will be bringing round bags of pea gravel to top up the edging along where the fence was replaced. I am very excited as the fence will then be finished off neatly.

Well have a good afternoon all.
    hugs and spoons all round.
Thinking of Jackje O and Dumpling and their families.
    Cranky hope the leg improves.

Sorry to nag but please don't just stop the antiDs. They need to be reduced gradually preferably under a GP's guidance.

Wish I could stop at one or two biscuits with a cuppa  Have had to make sure there are no biscuits, crisps, chocolate etc in the house as I would like to lose at least a stone by Christmas and then a few more.

Had yoghurt and fruit for breakfast and planning soup for lunch. If the electrician is not coming round today then I will go into Leeds to pick up my new glasses and pick up food for tonight.

Parcels are being delivered nearly every day as I have been shopping early online. I am unpacking the stuff straight away and putting things in a pretty suitcase in my room and will gift wrap them once everything has arrived. The cardboard is going straight into the garage ready to be recycled on Tuesday.

Family are coming for a meal on Sunday and planning red wine in beef with red cabbage, mash and roast potatoes or wedges so will get ingredients in while I am out.

    Hugs to all.

I forgot to mention that I used the "pillow spray" last night on impulse and had a really good night's sleep and did not keep rolling round the bed and partly waking up which I have been doing for ages now.

I am going to try to make using the pillow spray a habit.

I did not mean to sound bossy but went through this myself last year
and had stern warnings form the gp. Hope everything goes well for you.
