But surely you know that anyway, just take a five minute walk and you’ll know what is within a few hundred metres of where you live. Or have a look on Google Earth if you really want to zoom in on the area.0 -

There's also our own personal ratios of what we feel comfortable with and I'd hazard a guess that my own personal ratio would probably be set at around 30% built on, a lot more green urban space and a decent amount of natural space. Personally - I'm not bothered about what level of farmland is around me personally (it could be loads or pretty much non-existent) - as long as the country as a whole has plenty of farmland (as I'd like us to be able to be more self-sufficient for food).
There are different ways to provide that - if you built a few high rise blocks that would provide a lot of housing and leave plenty of open land (Alton West by Richmond Park is a good example of this) when compared to a whole field of two-storey houses with the same population.0 -
Built on <1%

Built on <1%
Green Urban <`1%
Farmland 8%

But it only gives a figure for the "Highlands" with no ability to look in more detail where I actually live, so not very helpful.0 -
Built on 5%
Green Urban 1%
Farmland 90%
Natural 3%
Adds up to 99%
Where we were before just a few miles away

Being a housing snob what matters is whether I live in a green urban or built on bit of town.....I think....0 -
I assumed green urban was parks and public open space. But of course I already knew that I lived in a built up area with lots of parks and that further down south was green belt farmland.0
