    Yes, but it's not something you will be able to do.

    Can you please share so I can pass the information on.

    I was thinking of when I next see him to get a quote on him being a named driver on my car and whilst he's giving his information he asks if they see it on the database ??

    By removing the vehicle from cover, that's if it was on in the first place.

    It's quite easy by checking the insurance history of a vehicle. But as I said you won't be able to do it.

    Say they had insured him, would the company be able to report the crash themselves? He is adamant he was insured although got no paperwork?

    They may well be able to but what I was suggesting is the vehicle has been taken off the policy and they don't know about the accident.
