I'm buying a SSD for my i3 desktop with a 80GB HD.. I know very little about cloning and my question is, if I clone my HD, does it copy the programmes as well as the OS?
I do not have a Windows OS Disc for a fresh install. My PC was made for me by a local shop, no longer there.
I do have an external 1TB HD that I store my photos and videos on.
Any advice welcomed.
edit, just looked on Google and answered my question.0 -
I've certainly used Macrium Reflect to clone Windows 10 to an SSD successfully.
Maybe the problems you are having are related to UEFI or not cloning the Boot partition properly?
Mind you, these are all programs for cloning the operating system or partitions.
If you want to clone the actual machine (as in your OP), much more sophisticated technology is required.0
