Clearing Wet Leaves From Path

I've been looking at buying a leaf blower myself - sometimes you get so confused looking online at all the different comparison sites - https://www.which.co.uk/news/2017/10/best-leaf-blowers-for-autumn-2017/ and http://www.independent.co.uk/extras/indybest/house-garden/gardening/11-best-leaf-blowers-10506179.html . Even though I usually do the garden myself, I think I'm going to pay my neighbours gardener £30 to clear my piles of wet soggy leaves. I was actually thinking of buying a leaf blower but after reading tons of reviews online, I think I'd need to invest about £300 in a really heavy duty petrol machine to do the job myself and considering it only needs doing one a year (if you wait long enough for all the leaves to fall of :-) ) I don't think it's worth the investment. It seems to me the cheap electric models won't be strong enough for lots of wet leaves.
Bottom line - if it's a heavy once a year job not worth investing in the machinery yourself.

I got a leaf blower from Robert Dyas for about 40 quid and while I’ve never used a decent one so can’t compare, it was well worth the money for me. Also its great for sucking leaves off gravel and out of awkward corners.
