ever heard of a jack or a locking wheel nut?

I think Facade was suggesting that it would take rather longer than 15 minutes to do it yourself with a single jack and wheel-brace that comes with the car. Of course it's not impossible, but it's a bit of a faff.

how so? It takes like 2 mins to jack the car up and replace a wheel.

Possibly because the replacement wheel is still firmly attached to the car ...

Yes, my bad, I should have emboldened the 15 minutes.

On a 2 poster, you could knock off the wheels two at a time using a windy gun without any messing about and swap them easy.
Trying to swap wheels one at a time with the tiny little jack you might have (if you paid extra for a comedy pram sized spare wheel kit) is going to involve 5 jack-ups and downs, (using said comedy sized wheel if you have one) and a fair bit of work with the wheelbrace.

I'd have said nearer 45 minutes.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))
