  • You are 100% correct they don't allow you to transfer Argos balances to a CC, I tried it a few years back. Mazwaz16 have you spoke to a debt charity (step change is one) for help with debt?
  • Avoid an Argos Card completely I have had one for about 6 years and I am still paying it off I got a credit limit of £1500 but I spent about £450 and I lowered it to £500, I am glad I did that because its addictive to use and in the end I couldn't afford to pay off my item on time. So I pay min fee each month because I have other debts I am trying to get off that have more % in fees if I don't the Argos Card is an awful card I only owe £300 on it and I plan to get rid when I can. I even put a block on the card myself so I couldn't be tempted to use it again.

As stated the interest alone is really high pay so much a month like me £15-20 and £11 of that is interest so £9 comes off the balance AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Unfortunately it is you that's the problem, not the card.

This wouldn't work as paying off Argos would not be a purchase.
Mazwaz16 - try the eligibility checker to see if you can get a 0% Balance Transfer card. Possibly if you have been left in lots of debt this might not work out but it is worth a try.

it will if you also get a curve card, link the credit card to it, and then any payments will go through the debit card and be seen as purchases, the same will also happen with any cash withdrawals via the curve card, they will be seen as purchases by the credit card
