I think you'll find there's plenty of people who'd say austerity is pretty real but the political and economic strife it's causing has been pretty much ignored.

Furthermore, in the same way as everyone can be comfortably enough off in the UK unless they sabotage themselves, everyone can also own a property in the UK, unless they sabotage themselves. As you seem to be doing.
