The PTA will be glad of any help you can offer so just turn up when you can! At our school we have a weekly coffee morning so no obligation to go but people pop in when they can. Or things like Christmas Fairs will be starting soon so offer to help with preparations - even if that means making 100 snowflakes at home on your own! - just to start getting your face known, then turn up on the day and offer to help if you're feeling up to it.
If your children are young enough (maybe up to Year 1 or 2), ask if a mum and child would like to come round after school one day. The younger the children, the easier it will be to get the mum to stay! Even if they don't stay, you can offer a coffee and a cake before they disappear off, then you have made a start at least.0 -

It does sound like an idea but I would never be able to commit to anything really. I sometimes struggle to shower myself without needing to lay in bed for hours after, so 100 snowflakes would probably see me off!!:rotfl: I will see if there's anything else though. There might be one off things they can put me down for.0 -
Are you happy to be open about your illness to PTA? If so, just tell them you can't make any guarantees but you'll try your hardest. There may be things you could do by phone/email to help out when you cannot attend in person.
I don't mind them knowing. I have ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia so emailing/phone stuff might be a plan.
I found a meetup for tomorrow which would have been ideal as it was early and just for coffee, but typically I have been unwell with an actual bug today. Think D&V. You couldn't make it up!0
