Try University accommodation. They may let rooms in Halls over the Uni holidays.

Try looking on 'your parking space' website, they often offer parking nearby cheaper than the official car park. We have got all day parking at the Holiday Inn on Clarendon Road for less than the official rail car park and it isn't any further to walk to the station.
Good idea. In years gone by I worked in Clarendon Road. For nine years I had free parking both for going into town and for the station.
Usually I park at MIL’s for free and get the train at Bushey but with the bad weather I want to have plenty of options for the return journey and more trains stop at Watford.

Oh no, hope you’re ok. I have to park there tomorrow, hope it’s thawed a bit by then.

Thank you both. Yes I’m ok but it could’ve been nasty.

Hornet girl, I got there late so parked in spaces which were covered with impacted snow. I could easily have been stuck as the wheels spun round and I could only reverse so far. As there wasn’t a car to the left of me, I managed to drive forward in a circle and onto the road within the car park. If I were doing it again I’d take a shovel and something to put under the wheels to help them grip. There is a lot of sheet ice which I didn’t see because the sun was shining, hence my fall. Be safe tomorrow. I paid by phone as did not want to walk back to the car to display a ticket.

Picasso the Mullers have increased to 50p now instead of 35p.on S.

Thank you Curl Girl. I’ll do some sums in the morning. Not sure I’ll get to A after all. Autistic nephew fell into a rage and hurt his Mum so we turned round and went to calm him down and comfort her
. So no A tonight and it’d be a detour tomorrow so we’ll see... night all.
