    Evening peeps. :)

    Sooo many gift sets here!!

I've got all the family sorted (thanks to ops)

I've got so many, I hope they dont think they'll get this lot every year!!

    Merry Xmas peeps. X

I'm off out for a Birthday drink tomorrow. :D

With you on that one Scamps.
The RRP of many of my presents far exceeds what I have paid for them, what with that and things like nectar double up I am aware that at times I appear too generous. Some friends and family acknowledge that I am a 'Savvy Shopper' but if you over do it it can be embarrassing.

Not going to admit to paying 4p for a gift set though!!

    Happy Birthday for tomorrow! x

Hi bubbs, you like me call them gritters, yet on the motorways they say 'salt spreading', mind you there was a lot of that about last night

Did anyone hear the talk on radio 1 the other week about the gritters in Oldham?
It was hilarious. Grimmy had one named after him, Nick Gritshaw. All the others have names as well like Nicole Saltslinger! Tweets may know more about it than me.

I'm more a radio 2 gal but son had it on when I was doing my taxi duties.

I’ve had a a chemist shop under my nose for years and didn’t realise....and it’s a Small Shops one too:T:T

It was like Aladdin’s cave with most stuff for £1 or 99p:)

I was happy with all of this for a tenner:)

They had the L’Oreal invincible sets for £3.99......what a mark up the supermarkets must be making on these gift sets when a small independent pharmacy can sell at those prices

    Thanks for that.
I did wonder if it was your school kids who came up with the names as the chap from the council said that they had a competition to name them. :rotfl:

Schoolkids do name them. Great fun when you see a gritter and see its name :rotfl:

On that note I am going to say goodbye my bed is calling me and our Poppy :hello:

I have been allocated the task of trying to find cheap accommodation near Cancer Centre as the place in Porthcawl is closed over Christmas until 15th Jan.

We need to find an Airbnb or similar from the 27th Dec to 15th Jan - 19 nights.
Travelodge comes in at £1050 but at least you have privacy & own bathroom. Can not find any discount codes :( Do you think if I rang them they may offer a discount?
One Airbnb does have an ensuite but run by a single man.... :o

Tomorrow she goes for PEG & MRI - staying in Heath for 4 days

Try University accommodation. They may let rooms in Halls over the Uni holidays.

Ice was indeed a problem. Watford Junction car park was an ice rink this morning and I fell heavily. Am stiff but no other damage.

Oh no, hope you’re ok. I have to park there tomorrow, hope it’s thawed a bit by then.

Try looking on 'your parking space' website, they often offer parking nearby cheaper than the official car park. We have got all day parking at the Holiday Inn on Clarendon Road for less than the official rail car park and it isn't any further to walk to the station.
