Hi Everyone
Two years ago I got DD1 some GHD hair straighteners for Xmas. Well I actually got them on a special offer in September. They broke two weeks ago and I was gutted that I had just missed the 2 year warranty.
Anyway as I hadn't given them to her till Xmas I thought I'd ring and plead. CSA asked for date stamp from the box and after a lot of rummaging in the loft I managed to find it. Apparently that proved that they had been shipped to a website in August and so were still still within warranty according to how they calculate it. They sent me a paid label to post them back and today I have received a brand new pair. So well done GHD :T:T:T
However DH will NEVER be able to moan at me again for all the empty boxes we have in the loft0 -
Our Lidl has been refurbished. We now have "trolley baskets". Great to wheel but much to big to carry and so deep to empty at the check outs. Me not like at all :mad:0

Actually the thing I like most about christmas is "the box of tat"....I have one from OH,he has one from me and we collectively source one for DS...
it's just that...lots of little bits and bobs...the more free the better and each gift inside the box should be more than about £2 or so...and if it came via a voucher all the better!!!
Useful things, useless things...but christmas wouldn't be the same without it.
We don't even have a main present each any more...if theres anything we want we'll ask throughout the year...it works far better that way
That's what I do with the stockings, i like to give people a laugh for ChristmasWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I think ours started off as christmas stockings but they just expanded when some of the stuff bulged out far too much....
I remember my parents doing christmas that way for years when we were younger so when we got married and had no money because the house took every penny and some, thats when the 10 presents for £10 started and it has evolved from that over the years.
I guess now perhaps we even have the money for extravagant gifts should we want to go down that route...but actually its the tat we enjoy.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -
