The live chat has disappeared for me on my Amex account so phoned. A really helpful bloke who credited me £5 for a local closed shop and £5 for a shop near my meeting yesterday which no longer took Amex. So I haven't actually managed a shop yet, but at least I've got £10!

He was unable to help with the One Stop question but I am presuming these are not included this year.
No my £10 1stop shop on 2nd december hasnt resulted in a £5 credit yet.

    Afternoon all.

Cold but very sunny here down in se england

Still not found the elusive yogs. But I will keep telling myself they are not good for me :p

Am I right in thinking the Lentil & Bacon trigger should work with tesco offer on Heinz beans/sausages, marcaroni, ravioli? If they're 4 for £3 then it'd be £1.42 for 5 tins??

An alternative set of triggers at the moment are the Batchelor's Cup A Soups (and presumably also the Slim A Soups). The Batchelor's Cup A Soups, and most probably the Slim A Soups as well, are still on the offer instore today but, for whatever reason/no reason that is apparent to me, the mbuy on them has disappeared from online. I was looking for them not to be a trigger - I am complicating things again by being technically correct but, basically, they are showing 5 for £3 on my SELs in my As (I assume the one yesterday has made no change to its displays as my other store is still displaying the mbuy today) and, unfortunately from that POV:rotfl:, they are actually 5 for £3. I was hoping, with the mbuy on the SEL, they would actually be full price and then GC and, in that situation, no longer being on the offer, they would technically not trigger anything as full price would be what was originally paid (before the CS back to the SEL mbuy and £2 GC) but they would act like a trigger as they would compare from full price.

Instead, as they really are on the offer, but the mbuy not showing online on them, they are triggers - of the visible kind which is always better, if you can get a comparison on them to somewhere against which A isn't 10% cheaper when using the full price that appears for A. If you have that on a comp., with the trigger item comparing favourably, then that is always better than it being invisible and not giving any APG in its own right (although, importantly, it makes the other items more expensive on the comp. on A price:T). A visible trigger also reduces the number of items needed to be bought in order to get eight, so it also reduces the cost spent on fillers as they, or some of them, don't need to be bought at all now:T:money::rotfl:.

My first thought was that the Batchelor's Cup A Soups, at least those which T have on t.com (as I don't know offhand whether A has some that T doesn't have), would work out very slightly indeed worse than the Lentil & Bacon invisible trigger since T is £1.20:( on the Cup A Soups and A, on individual price, is 1p lower than 10% cheaper - so, in effect, they would deduct a penny.

However, now that I have thought it through about 90% of the way, I have decided that the technical best way would be buying six Batchelor's Cup A Soups that are all in T's 2 for £2 offer online (which could be six different ones - nice six individual items on the APG meaning only two more to find) and four units of items that are within the Heinz offer at T to which you refer.

Unfortunately T is mbuy pricing on the Heinz offer rather than straight lower offer price, which means that buying total three Heinz (the ones in T's offer) plus two Batchelor's (to compare against 2 for £2 T rather than T full price losing a penny) would not work. There would need to be six Batchelor's soups - other numbers may be possible as long as they hit the 2 for... offer at T and are in multiples of five with the Heinz you buy to get A's offer - but you cannot buy more than four Heinz in total on any one shop because they have the offer on a.com and would immediately hit the mbuy on the APG. You have to keep under total five of those for that to work, and it has to be four because T is 4 for £3. The rest must be Batchelor's that are no mbuy show online and are on t.com. Or maybe a Batchelor's Slim A Soup could be bought, a single one, with 4 of the Heinz from T's offer (not having to go down the 10 total units six plus four option), as T doesn't appear to have the Slim A Soups that A has? If this is correct, it would be same price as the Heinz Lentil & Bacon use, would still give an mbuy no show online for A - the Batchelor's Slim A Soup would appear (and it would count as an additional item! - fewer fillers needed if you didn't have enough items without it) but would be £1.07 vs N/A so would not subtract a penny unlike an odd Batchelor's Cup A Soup (unless you can find one in A that T doesn't have) would.

Would I be correct in thinking that the Batchelor's Cup A Soups/Slim A Soups might now be better than using an invisible Lentil & Bacon against M, as long as M has the Cup Soups or Slim Soups that you buy or, more to the point, as long as they pick up M price on the APG (whether full price M or now incorrect 75p)? M's full price is slightly cheaper than T's but that slight difference does mean that, from full A prices, A isn't more than 10% cheaper by a few pence rather than losing a penny against full price T. Against M, if someone gets a comparing Batchelor's soup trigger instead of a Lentil & Bacon trigger, the Batchelor's soup, unlike the L&B, appears on the comp. - the L&B gives nothing (other than important full price A) from its non-appearance but - you still pay the same 5 for £3 price - a Batchelor's, comparing even against full price M, would give a penny or two. If the M price update is late, or somehow the price collectors have 75p price on Wednesday despite all ten of my Ms showing full price:rotfl:, then using one Batchelor's could be even better. You don't need six against M (and you would then get most probably get a worse price for M instead of T 2 for £2 - M is £1.18 each and no mbuy) but can buy one as at least on full price A, A very slightly isn't more than 10% cheaper. This could be one Batchelor's Cup A Soup or Slim A Soup and four Crosse & Blackwell Best of British products (four total are needed - M 4 for £3), all items of course being flavours that M has. In fact, better versus M would seem to be one Batchelor's and four Heinz Five Beans (you don't need four but just that the price difference is best and they are individual price in M).

There may be a comparison versus W using a Batchelor's Cup A Soup or Slim A Soup and four Baxter's, however that might lose slightly lose even more than T it seems, if you buy one of the three versions that W has (W £1.21 each, no mbuy as that is a T promotion) - so pick one they don't have. It seems that an odd number of Batchelor's Cup A Soups, unless the system still has 75p for M, so avoiding having to buy six plus four other products, is now best against S - however I don't think any items in A's offer compare good vs there but do check to see if S has put something on offer as prices change every day.

Thanks for this information - it is always helpful when a glitch against a competitor is available and I already happen to be doing a shop against the same competitor:T. (I then don't have to buy fillers to be able to get enough items to use the glitch, although it seems I have found a way of getting at least eight items - six different Batchelor's soups and at least two items from T's Heinz offer - to confine a shop to items on this glitch.) I hadn't thought about the 6 option when doing my shop - I went down the, even better, potential GC option if I saw the mbuy on Batcherlor's but if they had actually been the full price that they are not - but, as I wasn't buying six anyway, I just used the L&B trigger as the one purchase of a Batchelor's would slightly lose out (but then again it would cost 1p (A full price vs higher T price - A coming out slightly more than 10% cheaper), which would be less than the cost of an extra filler that is needed to replace an invisible L&B - but I already had a shop of other items prepared so I just added some of the canned items to it and didn't need any fillers in any case).
