This isn't going to work for anyone who hasn't celebrated their birthday this year yetApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
We went to our other WHSmiths today as both of us had the Christmas cards offer - I got the 3D ones for £5.99 with a pretty village scene on them (I needed quality rather than quantity) and also the advent calendars.
OHs android phone was fine but my iphone is dreadful - you literally have to get it to log on in the doorway and then run to the till or it looses the signal
But despite this mither OH was very impressed with these freebies especially the cards.
Also went to Wilko for the Quidco orders and a John Lewis giftcard (to redeem the Amex spend £40 get £10 back offer) - on the darkside someone has found the fruit and nut boxes going through the till at £1 but in ours they were still £3
And then into Asda for the shopimumms Mars snack pack freebies (the offer is finishing tomorrow) - has anyone any idea exactly what these are? They have a long expiry date though if we don't like them they will at least impress the Christmas guests“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Come on, even my mate figured that one out and she is only about average :rotfl::rotfl:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

It's a click through link rather than a load to card so i don't think it will do what you hope it will doApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

OK, I am after ideas. Short of stocking fillers for my son and my daughter's fiance, and very short of ideas. Need to be no more than around £1 or so, open to online and common shops.
Please help! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Love a challenge - can we assume this finance is a chap - and they are both 20s or 30s???
I will have a big think -
I noticed that Home Bargains have some interesting craft beers and ciders the other day - bottles and cans - alcohol seems to be very well accepted in Christmas stockings“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. They are quite nice. Covered in chocolate with a type of mousse stuff and a spongy base .0 -

I had already had the hub but asked for it again, on principle, and the website asked if I really wanted it and I said yes and it is on its way. I wonder if I can sell it on ebay!Enterprise_1701C wrote: »Have I missed something on the app then? I tend to only use the lights when we are away on holiday, they are a shocking price to replace and don't want to leave them in situ for the grandkids to switch on-and off-and on- and off
So how do you set them to come on 40 mins before sunset please?
Got the socket coming now too, so will put that on the standard lamp when we are away, means we can spread the lights out a bit. I don't know why they don't just do light sockets rather than full bulbs, well, I do - it is obviously to make more money.
I think I did it on the website rather than in the app. It's not easy to understand and until it started to work, I wasn't sure it was going to, but I think I first set a schedule for the light to come on at 6 pm and to go off at 10.15 pm. Then I did an action, asking it to come on at sunset or you can change that to however many minutes you want before sunset and perhaps even after sunset. The action seems to overwrite the schedule. I found out about this on the internet before you get too impressed!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
The advantage of the light over a plug, I suppose, is that you can put it in a normal ceiling light socket which can't be controlled by a plug. But you have to leave it switched on for it to work and I just know I wouldn't remember to do that if I put it in the upstairs landing. When I get my plug I could use that instead and have a normal bulb in my lamp but I don't know what else I'd do with the Hive bulb so I might as well stick with what I am doing. In the meantime, I am trying to think what I might want to turn on remotely!0 -
Anyone else had this offer appear in their nectar app? :rotfl:
200 bonus points as a gift to celebrate your GWR anniversary.
it's a simple "load to card" offer
No, sadly, not me. But you sent me looking again – thank you – and today I have a new offer of 100 bonus points on each of my next 10 shops, so I shall have a happy time trying to do several £1 shops and will do my best not to buy Doritos even if they are reduced to £1! This means that if I leave points for double up, this is a free tenner, and if I don't, it's a fiver, so very happy either way.0
