Damo, you don’t need to create a new account, just follow link from original email and book from landing page. (Do not go to Buy Tickets).
As others have said it will say whether you have the 2000 bonus points before you book.

Same route as mentioned from next Sunday (different times, different prices - the cheapest adult without rail cards seemed to be £3, £2 with a rail card). I couldn't get child tickets to show the bonus but I was having issues and tired .

As discovered in some of the posts last night, if it is working it shows during the booking process when you select the train.

... and for research purposes , once I had booked I followed the link again from the email and the bonus didn't show the second time:(, so it is once per account unless anyone knows differently.

I have gone through the landing email and am looking at Oxford to Reading and selected advance single and none of them are showing 2000 points I cant believe that I have ballsed it up

Used snipping tool and printed it off okay....I will give it a go. If they don't accept it there is nothing lost I guess..:D..Has anyone ever put coupons through at the self service and does it call for SA to verify...

You probably haven't - after trial and error last night I found they showed after I registered and was logged in.

I'm logged in I am looking at the right side of the screen where it says how many nectar points the ticket will get and its not telling me 2000!
