This so makes sense in reply to my post about Sweet Sunday...could it be related to a metro icecream offer?!

Went to WHSm and bought 5 x 15 vouchers on amex - nice to be able to chose amount

Same option was available in Wilko but we are a bit voucher heavy atm so instead just got the Mastercard prepaid for 53.95 so £6 profit on each.

Can you do the whsmith spend more than once on a card or do you have 5 cards?
    Tia.

Bubbs if it's just your knee being scanned, ask if you can go in feet first. They did mine that way. Can't hurt to ask.
I did ask and she said going that way anyway, bloody good job i was in there ages like that, think i would still be there now if i went from top:o
    Good morning.

Last night dh got a big youghurt out of the fridge, as I was going to bed i says save the lid, he replies, okay.
This morning.....No sign of the lid, this was our conversation.....
    Where's the lid?
    What lid?
    The lid off your yoghurt!
    In the bin!
I told you to save it
    What for?
    TM
    Whats TM?
    Truly madly
Why does she want my lid?
    Teatowels!
    You're mad!

    I then read marmites posts
And 12 (or 20 I can't remember)little robins flew into my basket and I took them home safely
    DH,
    What does that mean?
    Loo rolls
oh good its not just you....you're all mad, and he went to work

These are a rip off. So glad you put it back in the car. I have started to give children's clothes at least to a friend who takes them for refugee families. They are not allowed to work while they are asylum seekers and they are in so much need.

On a brighter note, I found two cashmere cardigans in my local Barnardo's shop on Monday, one black, one purple, M&S Autograph, looked and smelled new (though I shall still wash them first), for £1.99 each! I'd been looking for woollen stuff to make felt but only found these -- it would be criminal to turn them into felt!

I take many things to my young single homeless/housing support charity and a friend who works with refugee families. If they don't need the stuff it will eventually go to 'cash for clothes' or similar for a few extra pennies.

Good find with the cardies! Our local Banardos charges more than Primark!

Do smiths and wilko have all the same gift cards like tesco, I don't normally enter these shops because they are in town shops but planning a journey for amex spends

Relieved sainsburys today of some more wine on my double ups, didn't fancy many of the clothes and the kitchenware

Hoping to take part in small shops this year, been an amex member for years but normally away on these two weeks

    Good morning all

Di I tend not to read the post to DH for this reason. I remember when it was all talk of snakes (cobra beer) and it had me stumped for a while :rotfl:

Today I need to be productive Meeting friend next week and have promised her stuff for the church fayre The problem is deciding what fits the spec. Have no problem with the numbers promised. Blind bags will cost £2.50 so no great expectations of a WOW gift My cost will be about a £1.00

I am thinking about a selection from a nice Christmas(red and white) tea towel, a mug. teabags or coffee, and biscuits or Christmas slices OR a shower mitt, shower gel and body cream

Cant make my mind up about a condiment hamper for the nursery as a raffle prize Lots of 20p condiments with no idea what else to do with them TBH I am always pleased with a "win" regardless so may be overthinking this. I also have Minion sets that were a silly price in SD during the summer

Sarah, Snap and JTS you are in my thoughts

Bubbs I got my MRI "feet first" and it was for my hip Hope it all goes well

Enjoy your day and save or spend lots of money Your choice :)
#Thanks did go feet first :D
