Whilst I'm actually participating for once, has anyone seen any good advent calendars for men? Or at least gender neutral!
Discovered my OH has bought me (I'm assuming me, otherwise he is in lots of trouble and I'm having it anyway :rotfl:) the boots advent calendar so now feel I can't get him his usual chocolate one. Choice seems pretty poor for blokes.
Beer ones aren't any good for him and the whisky ones are a tad more expensive than i was looking at, plus I'd be too keen to help get through that one.
Tempted to make my own unless anyone has seen anything special?
I barely ever post on here, but I got a pork scratching advent calendar for my oh from here:

Definitely not MSE at all, but a nice and fun (although unhealthy) treat!0 -

I’ve just had to break the news to Oz that he’s 85.
He honestly doesn’t seem bothered:D
Loving the Advent calendar chat:)
M&S launched their Christmas ad yesterday....but I haven’t seen it yet...the rest will follow soon:)
dont know about cats, but contrary too popular beliefs. a dogs age is not 7 years for every human year. eg my ollie was 17 on the 5th november. (i forgot on the day) but she is not 119
my best guess from this chart is she is 84 almost as old as oz
can you tell me how old oz is in human years so i can check your resultsyou might be doing a bubbs on us. :rotfl:
found the cats one
link so peeps can check their cats age

Morning gang
I have been far too generous with friends and family and I'm afraid it will have to stop.
Today I emailed each of my "friends" who have not paid me for holidays/flights they have persuaded me to book earlier in the year and asked for the money as its me who is paying interest on it all.
Also I made the mistake of getting my son a hot tub for his birthday and it wasn't appreciated, in fact it is still here in the hall.....its a biggy toooI told him it was a joint pressie for all of his family but I will still get the kids a small gift at christmas .
It seems nobody is bothered if you overspend ON THEM , only when you don'trant over - back to lurking xxxxxxx

I used my large £22 APG at the George till in my A last night. The lady didn't bat an eyelid! Phew!! Does anyone know if I take the items back whether I will get a gift card?
Usually a gift card - although when I have paid partly with cash and partly APG they have sometimes given me the whole lot in cash.ELITE 5:2

I have reluctantly decided that the only way forward for me on my current budget is to buy for children only until things improve.
Has anytone else ever had to be this restrictive, and was there any fall-out?
How about a secret santa with the adults, you can set a price limit0
