    Morning luvlies

    Since filling the kitchen cupboards last week I noticed the empty cereal container which usually contains Stanley Boy’s dry biscuits was missing. I’ve just found it, I remember emptying a box of all bran into a ‘spare’ one. I’ve just sniffed it - it smells a bit fishy :rotfl: I don’t eat all bran ;)

    I have a straightforward family to gift for this year. DS wife and 4 children. My budget for gifts is £200 I think it ridiculous how many presents they get so mine are kept to a minimum with monies given at various times during the year
    Eg Gd wanted ice cream tonight Local freshly made stuff £10 She is just out of hospital though Plus I promised a small amount for her bank as she was super brave getting her adinods out Baby just started walking. First shoes £35 so it goes on Therefore I don't feel mean not spending a fortune at Christmas

    Seren your DD should know you have a restricted income so I would tell her you budget and ask how it should be split. It may be the other grandparents may not be so evenly generous to all 4 children

    mrsmac, I love your approach much more pleasurable for everyone involved x

    Seren, don't let anyone make you feel guilty, we all have to balance the books xxx

  • Good morning all, clearing up here.

    We are off to install a phone system in a house today, in the servants quarters :rotfl::rotfl:
    I am lousy at gender.... I think we have had this discussion before. To me you are a lady (but you may have a w*lly).

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Nope, you're right on that, I am female, just not entirely sure that I should be described as a "lady". I can be if need be, with the evening dress and shoes and jewellery, but by choice ...............

    Has your OH been enjoying his new breakfast :rotfl::rotfl:

    If it comforts you any, pet food has had to be of human standard for many years.

    As for Christmas presents, I tend to do stockings for everyone full of stuff that should have cost a fortune (but obviously does not), then ask for lists and keep it down to about £20 per person, though I do give a bit more leeway to my DD and her fianc! as I have to pay for the two grandkids as well as my DS and his fianc!e.

    That said, my DD's fianc! is going to think that I spent more on him, our local Hobbycraft has just opened and we have 20% off vouchers :D
