SA was adamant that the chicken were not included.
Had a battle with him and kept asking him to scan the coupon which he eventually did.

He also said that the coupon is ending before the expiry date as T can't keep giving crisps away. :rotfl:

I now have a total of 6 packs......
I've been a bit slow on this one.

Naughty naughty naughty. So, they can't even stick to what they said they would. If this is correct.

I'm equally adamant that all versions of "Walkers Baked Crisps 6x25g pack", or whatever the text says on the coupon, are included. Should have said see you in court:p:rotfl:. That's the trouble - over such a 'low value' item, and disproportionate, no-one would give it the test to see if a law case would succeed. There is no suggestion or expression that T have broken the law, and you got your chicken anyway.

Fwiw, I had no problems in the one store I have so far managed to find any Chicken version in stock. So that seems to me an inconsistent interpretation. I think your SA may have been just trying it on over the chicken and the coupons still being valid till their stated expiry. If so, though, over matters like the expiry date, why do staff (of any supermarkets) supposedly sometimes see the need to blatantly lie? It's not as if there is any gain to them from doing so (as far as I can see) and not even following their job or anything. Or it could be that he was 'trying it on' in the further sense there, over the expiry, of just joking with you and maybe you didn't see it? Or - I think that's just me:rotfl:! If you're not autistic (yet again, it affects everything for me), you likely won't see the way I would. It's me that sometimes has trouble telling if people are joking or not - you would be able to see (through body language from him). I've never seen that so I'm coming at it from a different tack - anyway...

If they are trying to withdraw the coupons before the expiry date, then it's them that should have seen it coming. They offered free packs so what are they to expect? It seems failure to see it coming and failure to plan for it from the outset, probably by a non-autistic person again. However, we may hope they forget and fail to plan again next time. However, it's me that is usually seen as not being able to plan as well as others isn't it? Especially when, it seems, the truth is the reverse. It seems I have an obsession with truth and lies at the moment:rotfl: . Oh, I forget - planning is being able to do so in relation to social interaction again isn't it?

EDIT: I'd better correct myself and add, because it's the truth, that I am not suggesting that non-autistic people cannot plan. (And I'm not saying that expressly, without a suggestion being made, either.) They can - or different people within them can - and I'm not saying (or suggesting) any better or worse than me. I have therefore added this clarification as not doing so would give a misleading impression and would have been lying. Although I suppose someone might at this point be thinking of replying (or just thinking) "don't worry about the truth Savvy - no-one else does":rotfl::rotfl:.

This suitcase keeps popping in and out of stock, £2 at House of Fraser. However, it's £4.99 even for click and collect (though you do get a £5 voucher which you pick up). Max 2 per customer. Probably not great quality and the charge for C&C is annoying, but might be good for an extra for storage or a long weekend away.
  • Savvybuyer, rules are VERY important, to an autistic they can be absolutely solid and undeniable. In the NT world it just seems they only use them when it suits them  . I live in a black and white world with rules, NTs seem to live in a fog of grey. For example, parking. They know what the rules are, but still park where they get a ticket, then blame the traffic warden or say that they only did it for a minute ???
Conversations are a minefield and I have learnt not to get too involved. Even a greeting is disturbing. When someone says "Good morning, How are you?". They don't meant it, it is just empty words. I daren't greet anyone in that way, in case they say how they are, or worse, ask me my opinion

The !!!!!! vouchers is an example of meaninglessness. "Subject to availability" all they need to say that there are no free ones available any more, so what is the point of saying anything about dates etc. And surely they know how many coupons they printed, so they should know how many free ones they were expecting to give out.

I am glad you know you are special, not "less than" or "just a" , I think self esteem is a major issue for Aspies, self judgment and then hating ourselves for not always being right or doing things correctly. It is still better than those who always blame others and think they are always right.

As for friends, I have realised that all my attempts to make friends are not from my desire for friends, but from my desire to conform. Since my initial request for an assessment, almost one year ago (and still waiting), I have stopped trying to conform. I now feel more like myself than I ever have. I wouldn't say happy, not in the way I think other think of happy is. The jumping about and weirdness I associate with it - :j:j:j I am not sad in the way others bellow with crying and needing hugs etc. I am just me, and for the whole contented.

Planning, I need a plan or a note of things to do, as I am too easily distracted and would not do what I intend to. And I would then get angry with myself when I realised I had missed something.

I am waffling a lot, I have an early morning ahead and need to get a good sleep. Thankfully I did not have too much interactions with others today, they are exhausting.

I've seen quite a few perfumes half price in Debenhams if you're looking for a way to spend vouchers. Christmas presents perhaps?
