    My hangover is finally subsiding:o

I knew I'd had a really good night when I woke up still wearing my big earrings:eek:
Oh dear, thought I would have seen you in T this morning, bright and early.

Small gestures make a big difference to,people, a passing comment of Oh you look lovely, a card through the post to let someone know you are thinking of them. A bunch of flowers or a six pack of crisps for someone you know is struggling. The saying...its the thought that counts is a very true one.

    Just catching up:o:)

I always offer and if people don't want or need support they can let you know......body language says a lot.....literally:rotfl:
It's so much easier with good friends. My friend said that the best thing I did for her was clean her shower:rotfl: I said that if I'd loved her a bit more I'd have offered to tidy out her shed instead:rotfl:

Small cakes are always welcome or a cooked chicken......just watch out for a fridge already groaning with gifted food. Homemade food doesn't always have to be a casserole. Sometimes a tasty sandwich is a nice change.
A quick ring to see if they need anything posting or a loaf of bread is a good idea.
If they have children offer to take them out for the day which frees up some valuable "me" time.
Quiet time is good too. You don't have to fill the silences with words. Companionship is to be welcomed in its own right. Just sitting quietly with someone can be comforting. Sometimes people don't want to talk but feel the need for someone to " be around"

So don't fear the elephant in the room. Feed it strawberries instead:)

In Waitroses I was trying to find something to buy to use my £2 off a £10 till spit that I got last week. I was hoping that they did something useful in the meat section with a three for £10 multibuy offer but I settled on 2 packs of pork shoulder pieces instead which were £3.23 and £3.25 so at least I have 8 nice pieces - might be OK as well cut into chunks for pork casserole.

I also got 2 more the BottleGreen presse as is was still on offer for £1.50 and 2 of the Bonne mamman desserts on offer for £1.16. Also OH found 2 choc choux buns half price for 75p as we were en route to an ad hoc picnic.
As well as the usual 2 magazines, Sunday Telegraph and coffee.

The card benefits took the usual £6.10 off plus another £2 off for the conditional spend. I also had two 50p MOCs for the BG and another £1 MOCs for the desserts (from the Good Food show)

I used a £5 John Lewis e gift card (this was a groupon offer, spend something and get an e voucher so I found something for £1)

That brought the final total down to £2.39 :T

Then the till spit machine gave me another £2 wys £10 and the very nice till man said I could use it for my 2nd shop as it worked on the original totals before discounts.
    I got
    2 bottles of Bottlegreen presse
    Bonne Maman Creme
    Sunday Times
    2 magazines
    coffee

and used a £1 MOC and two 50p MOCs as above and the £2 conditional spend
    Final total 16p :T
My best ever shop in W and the very nice till man went through the till spits he was collecting by the till (to give to anyone who needed them) and gave me a 60p off bagged salad and a £1 off chicken for future usage.

    so
    Sunday Times
    Sunday telegraph
    w magazines
    2 lattes
4 bottles of Bottle Green presse (the ones with the free mini bottle neck collars)
2 twin packs packs of Bonne mamman desserts
    2 choux buns
    8 pieces of pork shoulder
grand total after discounts, MOCs and gift card- £2.55
(or £3.55 if you ad din the £1 I spent on Groupon)

I've seen a lovely pair of boots in S.
Was very tempted but decided to wait for either promo or double up.......
Ooh, was it the brown leather ones with buckles?

That was the ones that I wanted and am waiting for double up.

    SnS
Funnily enough I have also got my eye on some boots in S, they are black short ones though.

I like the red patent leather ones:D

    Could be plastic:eek:

    Afternoon all

Any suggestions please with the ssm coupons, I've got them all in my basket but just can't work out how to print them. I've clicked on them, look different places, ways and still can't work it out. Tia X

I asked about that yesterday but no one answered. They don't work on my iPad but ok on a laptop. Wish I could have got two of some of them but couldn't :(
