    Evening all!

Just popping my head in briefly as it's been a great and also terrible day, lots to think about.

Snap - having it delivered without external packaging is no excuse for it looking like that! They only give you the option to hide the packaging in case it's 'sensitive' (like TS and her balloons) or if it's a gift for someone in the same house. It definitely shouldn't have been opened and damaged like that, I'd be pushing for an exchange.

On the flip side, the guy delivering my homepride sauces last night at 8pm said he usually has around 80 parcels to deliver, so he starts early and finishes around 4pm. The last few days he's had 160 parcels and still had another 50 to go - he reckoned he wouldn't be done til gone 10pm! They have targets to meet, so I strongly suspect that's why a lot of people will be getting 'sorry we missed you' messages without ever having had a knock on the door. Absolutely doesn't excuse the state of that package, but I wouldn't fancy doing that job for rubbish pay.

I bought a purse direct from Ted Baker and the postal label was just on the box. Annoying. Ok it is only an outer box but a very nice one.
I have had a parcel apparently delivered by royal mail and it says it has gone ' to yourself or one of your neighbours'? Definitely not gone to me and no card through door so no clue which neighbour it has gone to if any! Had an amazon parcel disappear and the book people forgot to add some of the books to my parcel so sending out after a phone call. Popaballs seem to put whatever is nearest to hand in the parcel then leave you to fight it out with them for missing items.
All of these were ordered well before black Friday as well.
The main problem I have with amazon is that the drivers can't read the instructions on where to leave parcel due to not having English as a first language and at this time of year not just the regular driver.

Freezing here by channel. Think we were spoilt last year as was so mild.

I do feel for these delivery people, out in all weathers, they always look stressed this time of year, agree they work so hard for not a lot of pay.

Anyone else get the email from Quidco about free mince pies?

I did, several times so yesterday after checking the dates I bought some. Get home and try to upload the reciept and the option isn't on the list so I emailed them and got this reply -

"Unfortunately this was a targeted offer aimed at a select few customers. This was sent to others in error.

If you were unable to select it in the drop down then unfortunately you wouldn't be able to redeem this"

I feel like doing an Mhoc here and wiping the floor with them. It's not the 89p, it's the principle. You send an email error once not three or four times
