Use a card that has nfc and scan phone over it, it will make a noise if it is working. I used it today.
NFC, Near Field Communication, can also be used to pass things between phones that have it just by touch.

Did you buy sim free then for £109.99? Did you know about the PayG / upgrade deals? Looks like perhaps £50 cheaper (if you have an old sim for an "upgrade" no need to buy £10 top up).

I read somewhere that Android Pay only works with stock software so may not work - also have Apple warranty on my 02 Refresh bought iPhone so will stick with the current plan.
I am not really spending money as I extracted quite a bit from S double up
