    Good evening Elite.
Hoping everyone is warm, happy and well. Hugs to those not so. Wendy, MrsM - I feel for you. I had shingles for five weeks over the summer. It can really grind you down.
BH. I think you bagged all my droids today! Not a one for me.

Thats the power ones. Dont know if you can use them with those.
Blimey, picked up 6 packets from the shelf that said £11 each. As the SA started cashing them up it said £13. Im like, they are suppose to be £11 each and she says no its correct. Then she looked at my packets and said some are power and some are not. She scanned one that was not power and was £11 phew. So she sent someone to replace the £13 power ones for the £11 power ones.
Told you I get confused over gillette stuff
Wondering if this is the one to get .

Just got a "for emergencies" phone from Carphone[STRIKE]!!!!!house [/STRIKE]warehouse. It has NFC and android 6 (android 4.4 minimum for Android pay) unlocked, with a £50 cashback for a working old phone (I have a terrible Lenovo I wanted shot of anyway).
Worth it in my opinion for extra free coffee etcs, AND 1 month of Droid envelopes. Just remember it is Visa card you need to link, wish I had a 2nd bank account with one ;-)

so a net £59.99 and a competition entry for £10 million giveaway at WAREhouse, I won an Odeon ticket LOL.

No need to remind you to do the necessary for getting the £50, you one of the Elite.

Did you buy sim free then for £109.99? Did you know about the PayG / upgrade deals? Looks like perhaps £50 cheaper (if you have an old sim for an "upgrade" no need to buy £10 top up).

Carphonewarehouse phones are unlocked. This price is outdated but there's a darkside thread here : https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/alcatel-a3-5-unlocked-payg-upgrade-android-phone-for-6999-10-1499-after-5-quidco-50-trade-in-carphonewarehouse-2830705

I'd previously suggested the A5 and tradein to CEX if no longer wanted.

    Congrats on your pizza wins.

Just a quick note - if anyone got the homepride sauces from Amazon, as expected there was only 1 jar per pack, not 6. I ordered 3 packs of each flavour so I was expecting 54 jars but only got 9.

A quick message to Amazon online chat and I'm being refunded my 20-odd quid and keeping the jars, now that's what I call customer service :T (John Lewis could learn a lesson or three!!)

It was not very good at M this morning. The store I visited was in chaos over most of the items whose offers were due to have ended:mad:. On several of them, I had full price SELs in one place and offer SELs in another, with products still on aisle ends, with big price labels supposed to cover the entire shelf, but SELs specific to the products had been removed or were not there. I think I had got there with the store yet to take away stock that was still on the ends - I don't think the products are on offer. The store also didn't have the bread I needed:( and there were many items missing. I ended up with another store that I was trying to avoid having today and tried to resolve whether the prices seemed to have changed or not and searched for the missing items as well as I just can't leave a job incomplete. Except that it is always incomplete in one sense as I can't visit every store and I have the incomplete items of the few stores I visit - however I have got from my stores completely what they have that was any good, so I have done as complete as I can.

Almost the first thing I noticed in the first store was the individual Giant Pomegranate that has been on a Black Friday week offer of 50p seems to have gone right back up to £2:eek:! I have one SP-equivalent item that is going up - Long Grain Rice (1Kg) appears to have gone from 42p to 45p in M. So it appears to be last chance for those couple of items, not that I would trust the price collectors with their fruit and veg.:rotfl:. I don't know what price the Long Grain Rice will end up with on the APG from this time, after the update, as there are clearly some Ms that have not yet changed the SEL. It will probably get 45p, but it could hold out with the old price for a little longer. The Sweetcorn tin was still comparing against 35p, although it has got the 40p price now. Then again, there could be some M that hasn't changed SELs six months later, though I suspect they will be few and far between and, as time goes on, the more likelihood that many more have put the new price on display. It's very unlikely but I don't rule out the possibility the APG could go to 45p and then back to 42p later if perhaps one of their stores loses its SEL on one of their future visits and then puts it back after the collectors have visited. That could, very unlikely, affect the final result if they have a number of stores that still show the old prices even if they have some with the new prices (but don't have more of those stores than the ones that have a SEL that hasn't been changed or changed the SEL but the new one, somehow, fell off and revealed the old one again - anything's could happen - anything's possible:rotfl:).

I had better get to the updating as I have one spare day and there are what some people might think are crafty changes. I think beware of the Plenty Extra One Kitchen Towels that, according to labels, were £2.70 but are now - at some stores at the front of the store with the "Black Friday" stuff - £3.00. One of my stores showed a higher price crossed out. So, the current £3 is a price increase I think. The label - which is probably a "one off error" - is not in every store: others will have changed from showing £2.70 to £3. They just replace one label with another and leave us to know that the price has increased, even if it is on prominent display with a yellow label suggesting that it is a good price. Well - avoid:rotfl:, IMO!

The Soft Pitted Dates 200g are now £1.50 but I have now found some Trail Mix 200g and some Soft Raisins 200g that are showing £1.

On the other side, the Johnson's Washcloths, fwiw, that seemed to have ended last Wednesday are now back at £1.50 again, together, this time, with some other Johnson's products that are now £1.50 that have been £1.50 some time before and full price on the weeks in between (time period may vary on different ones of the products).

Regarding the Batchelor's Cup A Soups, Golden Vegetable should also work vs M. However, I have failed to link up A's Batchelor's Cup A Soup Croutons with Creamy Vegetable with the product in M. It says 122g on a.com, and therefore the APG, and the packets I have in M really are 122g (that is what it says on the packets anyway - do we have to weigh them to check that the weight printed on them is true?). However, the SELs in both Ms that I have seen say 120g and therefore I am taking them - this is obviously incorrect but is how the system may work - as completely different products as they are not the exact same weight on the SELs to what they have in the system for A (regardless of what the actual weight on the ones at A actually is or isn't) and therefore strictly non-comparable. They may well be 122g in A and in M and physically exactly the same therefore - however they have not got the same on the SEL. What I ought to say is that, clearly, there is a 120g version that the SEL says there is - so it must be true as we don't question SELs - but it is OOS as it does not physically exist and, indeed, I've never had stock of 120g so has been OOS for longer than 7 days and is therefore N/A - and, meanwhile, there is a 122g version, that A (according to a.com) also has, but that is a product without a SEL for it so we can't get any price and it is therefore N/A:rotfl:. I don't know - they might not be as technical as me; however, I see that there is a risk - and they probably may well see the SEL at 120g and type that in - and of course A's is 122g so it wouldn't come back as the same to compare from.

I am going to link up Croutons Cream of Asparagus now and put that onto the M list as "should work". A.com has it as 117g. Although the dimensions on m.com work out at 116g, that is irrelevant - and I have found the actual product in M is 117g and - significantly - the SELs say the same.

I will get to the updating - there are items that should be mentioned but I will not do so at the moment as I don't want to cause confusion as they will not yet work on the APG. All rush for the Long Grain Rice instead:rotfl::rotfl:.

  • Wendy and MrsMac, I hope you feel better soon.

I had shingles 3 years ago, all down my back on one side, I could not get comfortable at all, kept shifting position trying to ease it, like you do with a bad back. Then I read that it's the nerve itself that is inflamed. So I gave up fighting it, and oddly that seemed to help.

Yes, John Lewis could do with learning about customer service. I ordered the washing machine with them on Friday, didn't get a confirmation email, got a text on Saturday from hotpoint about delivery and it had my name spelt wrong so I called JL on Saturday to correct it and was told I'd get an email and I'm still waiting now.

The only communication I've had has been from hotpoint. That's not good CS!
