Speaking of the prices on shelves being different from the real ones, it just goes to show you cannot rely on instore indications. In fact, I seem to be in a habit of almost everything I buy either has incorrect (usually higher than real) price on the shelf or no SEL at all. The 4 for £3 shower gels at M (offer shortlived now expired) - I bought at a store that didn't have the offer showing. I bought some Bran Flakes in Lidl the other week. I saw that T, yet another item, had taken its equivalent off t.com or made it unavailable:mad:, meaning the price at A on 1Kg was now straight price. No good as that now makes that more expensive and it was the 10% that made it the cheapest non-whoopsies packs. Unfortunately M's version of the other pack size is Savers not standard range, and the Savers they have is in different pack size to SP Bran Flakes. I saw that SP Bran Flakes had gone down in price, but were still a fraction of a penny now more expensive than Lidl, showing at 55p online. I went to Lidl - and nearly didn't buy them but was about to revert to SP Bran Flakes from A. I saw price of 59p on display in my Lidl (two pence more than M and worse than SP Bran Flakes if that was the real price), but decided to try them at the till and they were 55p.
There's a story still to be posted (maybe) about my Quorn Chicken Pieces. Cutting it short for now, basically I could not find the 500g pack at my A at the time I wanted to buy them. So I ended up, for the sake of 15p, buying one from Sains. I got to my S however and saw no £1.50 price on the shelf. Made me briefly think they didn't have them in my S... then I found a single pack on the shelf. That's right - I was again SEL-less on the one item I bought:rotfl:.
Is it common knowledge that Shredded Wheat Barley & Spelt 475g are £1 in Poundstretcher? (Bigger pack size than the ones now online for the other stores, and the smaller packs elsewhere at much more expensive price - EDIT this refers to SW Rye & Quinoa which Poundstretcher potentially still have at £1 - see later post for clarification.) A bit short-dated, but my longest date are currently end November (which is actually longer than I found before). My Poundstretcher however - my one that I've found that still has them - other store near me is currently absent of them - place I have now found seems to be in the habit of having them as the only item in the cereal aisle that does not have a price label:rotfl:.
It seems they try to hide the items from us. (Actually, there's probably an explanation that these good priced items may simply be items on which they have had stock come in but haven't yet got round to putting the price label up.) But the SEL-less version of Shredded Wheat - the only item on the cereal aisle in my Poundtretcher currently worth buying in my view:rotfl:.
(It's come to my notice that people pronounce SEL as "ess ee ell" but I say it as "sell".)0 -

Very good idea - some of the items there can be cheaper than products in other aisles of stores. For example I think own label Coconut Milk tins are usually expensive prices but KTC Coconut Milk regularly on 50p (or at least 2 for £1 offer) in M. Avs M much of today only, if that has stayed at the same pricing. Or maybe S has it at 20p somewhere. And health & beauty items (those that haven't been glitchers) cheaper in the baby aisle.0 -
Ah, I now see. I have just amended my post from Shredded Wheat Quinoa to Shredded Wheat Barley & Spelt. I thought it was Shredded Wheat Quinoa. (Quinoa is Rye & Quinoa.) I now see that I have bought Shredded Wheat Barley & Spelt with BB end November. I bought Shredded Wheat Quinoa the other week and see the pack I am just finishing of that is BB end October. So, potentially, both Quinoa and Barley & Spelt are currently each £1 in Poundstretcher. Just hoping Barley & Spelt isn't cheap elsewhere as I was referring to Quinoa before:rotfl:.
[EDIT: Expensive supermarket offer price of 2 for £4 from Ocado. Poundstretcher, as you can see - they don't have it. It is £1 there. It looks like I did well - I suppose however that is easy, as I would never buy 475g packs at equivalent £2 price:eek:. So, avoid buying at that level and just buy when it is £1 or cheaper and you probably can't go far wrong.
Nestle Shredded Wheat Multigrain Barley & Spelt (475g)
£2.60 any 2 for £4.00
54.7p / 42.1p / 100g Valid until 30/10/2018
£2.57

I would also like to add my thanks to OP!
No 20p offers in the World Food aisle in the Sainsburys I've just been in, but I noticed that KTC chickpeas, black eyed beans and tinned tomms are on offer at 30p.
I found quite a few sauces at 20p :T. I bought Red's Triple 6 Hot Sauce, Red's Dirty Burger Sauce, Gourmet Burger Kitchen Chilli Relish, and Levi Roots Smokey BBQ Coat 'n Cook Sauce, all at 20p. The GBK sauce was on the RTC aisle end, but the rest were in their usual places on the shelves. There were a few other sauces in that area reduced to 20p but sold out. There was also a SEL for 20p for Planters roasted peanuts in the RTC area but sold out.
No corned beef for me, which is a shame!0 -

Greggs OR WHSmith OR £3 Eating Out Meal
I did say this change was probably coming....:cool:The onetwo app just asked me to do a 27 question survey.
It's soon going to introduce 3 offers per week and let you choose one of them (presumably this would be on top of other offers). They've not decided if these 3 offers will change weekly/monthly/quarterly
Some of the things it wanted opinions on were:
Free greggs coffee
£1 greggs coffee and bacon roll
£1 costa coffee
£1 mcdonalds coffee
£2 dominos personal pizza
£4 dominos small pizza
£1 wh smith magazine
£2 wh smith meal deal
£5 odeon ticket
£3 restaurant meals (bella italia, iguanas, bills, etc)
There was other stuff but i can't remember. I should have realy screenshot it :doh:Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
Funny old world - a bottle of whisky sells for far more than many people's homes.
