Wish I had access to this.

Out of interest, is it 10 per customer/clubcard/transaction?

Don't know specifically but the machine is positioned between the security guard station and customer service desk.

It's only the size of a drinks dispensing machine, so either it is being emptied frequently or it will soon fill up and be shut.

Years ago Mr T had recycling machines and each piece gave you clubcard points - the trick being to flick bits in to trigger a light beam. Also to cut up recycling into smaller bits but large enough to trigger the beam.

Wasn't that the reason it got canned though?

I realised late in the game that new costa club cards come with 100 points to start you off. I've just been steadily building up my own balance all this time

You can't part pay with points so it would take a while to build up enough for a free coffee, but using just one £2.45 giftcard gives you 10 points so almost straight away your card will have 110 points on it

The wee lindt balls are 55p each so you can get 2 of these for free on top of your £2.45 spend Nom nom

They ought to be nom nom for 55p each  ok for free though :)
With my two codes I usually pay 60p and get two innocent drinks :)

I went to Smiths at the Chester train station yesterday and I was fiddling with the Wi-fi and the nice young chap said just to take it ( I wish they were all like that ) and I said I've got another phone too can I get one with that too and gave him a big smile. They weren t even for the ordinary choc bar as they didn't have any so I got a whole nut one and a fruit and nut one :)

Aau do you ask for a card every time you go in there then and use that or does it have to be filled in on line to be used the next time thanks

Like I said, I was late to realise the opportunity so I'm still toying with it.

I got a coffee this morning using a new card that I picked up at the same time, registered it online after making the purchase and it showed in my account as having 110 points on it.

I took my daughter for lunch (putting points from that visit onto a different card ;)) and then redeemed the 110 points on this mornings card to get my 2 free chocolates.

if you register the card in advance you could probably scan it with your £2.45 gift card and then immediately after that transaction say "oh, and can I use my points to pay for this too whilst I'm here?"

Free chocolate works for me but there are other things near to the £1 mark that you could get instead. You just have to remember that the points need to cover the full cost, you can't part pay with points

It is a bit of a palaver using two phones lol plus a different phone to add my points. Would be a bit easier with an actual card so I ll try that next time. Then my purse to pay the difference . People waiting in the queue behind me . Mind you I have to wait everywhere so maybe I shouldn't bother about that.

I wonder if phone software upgrades are niggling some apps. I've had to reinstall some including virgin red.

Something niggled mine this morning and couldn't work out what.

I have had to reinstall some apps and all my passwords for most websites

For anyone stocking up on Nescafe original in Asda, the 200g jar was on rollback and has now gone back to full price.

The 300g jar was £5.00, went to £7.00 then £7.48 when smaller one on rollback, and now gone back onto rollback at £4.50 :rotfl:

Don't think the rollbacks are permanent rollbacks :(

  • Afternoon all Nice little freebie in Mirror tomorrow for anyone with little ones. Free child cycle helmet in Halfords thanks to Savvy Deals. I have just done a click and collect for one and will pay with voucher instead of a fiver.
