My local Tesco is part of a scheme that pays you to recycle plastic bottles. Paid by a voucher, 10p a bottle, limit of 10 per day. So £1 off your shopping.

Wish I had access to this.

Out of interest, is it 10 per customer/clubcard/transaction?

Manor wasn't in a good way yesterday. :(

Where we are under the trees and it's got so cold all of a sudden everything was covered in condensation as I packed it away. All the crockery, pots and pans etc. Everything felt damp...opened up the plastic boxes when I got home to dry it all out.

On the front window ledge there was proper mould growing, I had an old flash gentle cleaner over there that had white vinegar and lemon in so I've sprayed it with that for now. But I had to scrape what was like a creamy coloured lichen covering hard black mould away with my pen knife. I've probably damaged the laminated window ledge.

I must get out there with some of those crystal things to put in before winter sets in to try and keep things drier. But I think this must be more water ingress.

Still with the really dry weather it was a fantastic summer the few times I did manage to get out there, some lovely family moments. Being under the trees then was a good thing as shade from the midday sun. Sun being lower now it's not a good spot, maybe I should talk to the farmer see if we can have a different spot next year.

So todays job is washing the awning poles, tent pegs and scrubbing the awning itself, making sure I don't pack away any insect eggs with it. :rotfl:

wasnt the point he made, that he had an extra item show on results

ps you can take your ear plugs out now :D

I did - Curly Wurly 80p A mbuy vs £1 S, Cadbury Chomp appeared right at the bottom of the comp.: 20p mbuy vs N/A:(.

It was still a worthwhile APG due to buying other items enough cheaper at S, but I lost a bit.

Yes I read about this yesterday, only a few select stores on a trial basis.
It does not seem to be the 2litre bottles we have a lot off.
It would be interesting to see how this works - how long do you have to use your 10p vouchers - if you can use muliples at once eg an entire weeks worth to get up to £7 off shopping.
Also I wonder how often these machines get serviced and emptied.

Years ago Mr T had recycling machines and each piece gave you clubcard points - the trick being to flick bits in to trigger a light beam. Also to cut up recycling into smaller bits but large enough to trigger the beam. Points were plentiful at the time anyway so it wasn't really worthwhile for a few hundred points. It was quite a long job doing this and anyway the machines were not maintained so they were always breaking down
