Nearly went for the Almonds today at S:o which I really don't want:o

I hadn't done any CB for ages my solo bank ac was looking very empty, hopefully the Garden Gourmet from shomium will start building it up again. When it gets to decent amount I transfer it to my savings.

I've been stuck on about £10 for ages on CoS, got one lot of the Red Stripe in the week but the RTC beer in Ts worked out cheaper so not bought anymore.

Asda have told us officially you have until 03/10 to check giving an expiry of 31/10 officially. Unofficially that could be 31/12 if they don't change the current system.

Secondly, why are you still printing them ? If you're using self-scan you haven't needed to since the manual check stopped and they stopped the requirement to deposit them, nearly 2 years ? now. You only need it on your phone.

Yes thats the theory but the staff at asda gives us all sorts of stories... my latest is i cannot scan it myself because they would not be sure the voucher and receipt matches,, they would not know if I have put them BOTH into the slot..and I am only allowed to use ONE APG a month!!!
so what does she do... she TYPES in the amount in £1.72 on her cashier keyboard !!!! when I had already done the scanning myself... she had to cancel my transaction and do it all herself..

oh well.. no need to stay under the radar now..

I've lost count of how many times I've had to tell SA's how to do their job!! Fortunatly I know a till manager who knows what to do.

I wont be glad that APG's are finishing, but at least the stress levels will go down!!

They had the 75p Matchmakers in Tesco in Carlisle today. We popped in on our slow journey back to Devon to fill up on fuel (no way am I paying service station prices!) and to have a quick look for cheap beer. All of the rtc beer had sold out, but then it was probably a bit hopeful being so close to the Scottish border ;-). We do however have quite a few bottles of wine from Asda on the way up from the 25% off offer a couple of weeks ago. I had considered selling them out of our car boot on the campsite ;-). We've made it as far as Stafford, so over halfway!
