Let's hope there is a mega glitch before 3 Oct so we can say goodbye to the APG in style.
And who knows there may be some great mystery cases before 3rd October:T

    RIP APG :(
They don't like me so doubt I'll get an email :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Say goodbye to Asda Price Guarntee and hello to even lower prices!

We want to let you know that we’ve decided to close the Asda Price Guarantee from 3rd October 2018.

When we’ve asked what our customers want us to focus on most the response has been clear - invest everything you can in everyday low prices. So, that’s what we’ve decided to do.

    • We’re committed to focusing our investments in to lowering prices; and keeping them low

    • Over the past 12 months we have invested over £100m in lowering the price of 1000’s of the products our customers love the most. And there’s more to come

    • This month, you’ll see another round of price reductions from us – and more after that; look out for them in your local Asda store and online

You can continue to check your shop on the Asda Price Guarantee website as normal until 3rd October, and you’ll have 28 days after you check to redeem your voucher.

If you’d like to learn more, you can read the full statement from our Chief Customer Officer Andy Murray on our website.

My printer is going to be in overdrive... Good while it lasted 8 years..
Will feel strange using cash for shopping.

    Afternoon all

It feels like the end of another era

    we have lost
    unlimited coupon usage
loss of Mr T bonus points and MOCs with mailings
Mr T double points going to single points
    downgrading of Mr T points
    downgrading of Morrisons more card
    loss of Waitrose my picks
    loss of sainsbobs brand match
    loss of sainsbobs mycoupons
    loss of Mr T orchard
loss of Mr T price guarantee
cashback sites eg COS and Q clicksnap very few new freebies over the last few months
downgrading of the B&Q diamond card - just gardening discounted now
    - what else have I missed off the list

    and now coming up
    Twine shop shutting
    APG closing

In the past though we have always managed to between us pull through and reinvent ourselves and find new money saving and money making opportunities and legitimate glitches - so maybe its not as bad as it looks ...

I have wuntooo issues as well constantly - I get a re screen saying I am offline - obviously not

Maybe if we all complained via twitter then they might realise how buggy the app is

I had issues with the wuntu app - i'm blaming brain fog. But after baffling customer services with my issue I managed to worked it out :o

On wifi the app would work, I could view offers etc (Some may see where I went wrong from that first sentence!)

Switch off wifi, to use data, to use the app to claim an offer, and it would say I was offline. hmmm

Turns out in the menu "use mobile data for" and a list of apps, the wuntu app was turned off :o:doh::o

Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Very rarely used the APG, apart from the odd womble, i like Lidl and Aldi too, especially as I have both 5 minutes walk from home :)

Annoyingly though, soon our Lidl is going to close for about 3 months as they are extending it (again!) so if I want anything specifically Lidl I will have to go to a two 2 miles away

What news to hear today APG ending and TWINE

I googled Asda Price Guarantee this morning to check whether there had been any official updates and one of the top news hits was for the Daily Mail in 2012.

It did bring back a few memories of old, made me smile when it mentioned triggers and Don Simon :rotfl: oh and someone's loft.

I have never fully partaken in APG even back then. I tended to dip in and out if something took my fancy. I always find it easier to just buy things reduced to clear and not have to worry about comparisons and printing out vouchers that I then forget to use. :o

I'm a bit miffed like mhoc I didn't order any of the last TWINE mystery boxes, let's hope for one more chance before it closes, might be some good bargains if it's coming to an end.

I am sure the Elite will be able to keep our money saving ways alive, reinvent the wheel and all that. :money: :money: :money:

Ditto. A didnt like me using their mocs or c&c or any other mocs for that matter. I haven’t done apg since the start of this year apart from the odd wombles found at other shops and used those at an A home store.
