what a week its been since taking the boys back to London

and ive had a week off from babysitting

My DH in his wisdom decided 4 months ago to changed internet/phone companies from talk talk to bt, the package was the same except he could get bt sports//
but the package wasn't the same with talk talk we had free calls to mobiles, BT didn't offer the same , and he was in a contract, but luckily bt changed their prices which isn't what we signed up for therefore he was able to break the contract without being penalised:)
he had been scrutinising the account nearly every day saying how much calls were and how much we were paying, I was using my payg mobile which then ran out of credit,,so disaster all round

last Wednesday was big switch over day back to talktalk, with whom we'd been with for many years, the downside was as we had already been a customer we had to have a different landline number, (our old one we had had for 36 years). but heyho we wont get all the nuisance calls:) in fact we wont get any calls as there is a problem with the telephone exchange this end so were sending out an engineer.
He was coming by 6pm today, someone was here all day and no one arrived. after ages on mobile to cc they are sending someone out Friday morning, apparently open reach cancelled the appointment, even though the exchange is on 200 meters away from where we live:mad::mad:

The sels sometimes have a yellow clearance surround and a subtle grey clearance symbol on the right hand side. Hope you can see from these old pics if you zoom in what I mean. Often when I scan the shelves a product will look out of place as it doesn't have a pink offer label above it like rest of range. Some stores have clearance sections but don't rely everything reduced will be in it. I have got used to prices looking out of place like say £3 olay among £20ish ones.

    Good luck x

Thankyou so much for this TS. I didn't find anything today but at least I knew what to look out for :A xx

after the storms on Thursday / Friday all our downstairs lights stopped working.
we called out our electrician who over the years has done all our electrical work
one by one he took down every light but still the problem was still there ..after 5 hours he made everything safe and came back Monday ...the very last light he took down was the problem, an outside light, the sun had made the plastic coating on the wires vulnerable and with the beating rain got inside the light and kept tripping the fuse...problem solved :)

dh had delivered yesterday 2 new lights :) one was broken and returned and a replacement all in one piece came today:) so electrician coming tomorrow to fix them , goodness knows how much the bill will be:(
