It's so sad and so unfair, I feel for you and your poor M i L. getting funding for medical issues is a minefield and very complex.
I fail to see why people who have been careful all their life and have some capital in the form of a house/savings are the ones who are worse off in these situations, in nearly every case. Someone else who has had the same income during their life, but spent every penny will get the care they need completely free
Do you have an advocate or someone you can pay for advice? Have you checked all the criteria for a medical assessment on the Gov Website ?

sorry can,t be of more help at the moment as dealing with 111 as Mum is in severe pain and doctors phone lines are down !

Hope saversue and rose both get the advice you need. Sorry that you're both having problems.

Wasn't going to bother but had to call in for cat food for mums cat.

Discovered that the cat I thought was a stray lives the next street away.
It's owners had gone on holiday and just left it to fend for itself!
Wouldn't mind but they are back from holiday and I'm still feeding it.

What's the average wait at your local GPs for an appointment? MY OH has just rung ours to be told that there are no appointments until September. He has to ring in the morning for an emergency appointment.

Is it like this nationally? I can get the cats seen by Barry their personal vet quicker - when Treacle was vomiting blood I got him an appointment in 2 hours and with Barry and all fixed.

Ours is also nearly a week.
But you can phone for cancellations.
We can't make advance appointments either.

Do you have a walk in sevice in a town centre?
This is where our receptionist always suggests going to.
