I am now in full panic mode ! My passport expires in April and I was going to renew it after I get back from holiday in September (after the summer rush). Just realised that DH talked me into booking Sri Lanka early November and I will need a new passport before then (6 month validity) Also need 6 month validity to apply for a visa.

I reckon I have 30 days to get a new one if I get it done on Monday - if I can even find a photographer as they all seem to have shut down near me. I can't afford any errors so I need to do it via the PO check and send thing - so I will have to plead with them on Monday as they insist on an appointment system now.

My brain tells me 30 days is plenty of time but I am still in panic mode ! Its worrying me that summer months are a busy time so may cause delays.

Don't panic tbw. I had lost my out of date passport....well mislaid really:o

I did it online to save money and it was back within 10 days:T

Online is even better than PO checking service and just as quick.
