I wonder if the discount applies to alcohol ...we have had a few happy hours wondering along the wine section in various Carrefour and gasping at how cheap it is to ruin your liver :)

You going to borrow bubbs's card, because obvs you are not old enough to get one (unlike her!)
Thou does protest too much Bubbsy.

We like the Hoopers Dandelion and Burdock - but then we also liked the Happy Downs so possibly we have peculiar tastes :)

The little round fridge raiders meatballs though - urgh - they fed the fox one night :)

    Good morning lovely peoples

Thank you Bubbs :A There's still a lot of work to be done - that's why I took a picture of only part of it :o
My wife wanted a "wildlife pond", so I've made a gentle slope from the Scottish cobblestones to the bottom to allow wee beasties to climb out :)
During the build, I've hidden notes/ messages/ pictures (weatherproofed with the vacuum sealer) to be found by my family at a later date :)

We've had a beautiful turtle dove visiting our lawn for several days, serenading with her deep purring/ calling. But last night she was attacked by a magpie - I just managed to get out in time to shoo it off as it pinned the dove down - I haven't seen the turtle dove so far this morning :(

Please glitch fairy can you come back? We are all missing you :A

I've been thinking about the notes/messages/pictures idea - it could even be knock-knock jokes or cracker jokes or funny poems or pictures with funny captions.
Some you could hide in fairly easy to find places like the bottom of the cornflake packet or under the last yogurt in the fridge but some you could be very devious about and hide in things like winter coat pockets or inside the ski boots only worn in very harsh winters or stuck to the underside of the bed or at the back of the bookcase only moved for dusting purposes - so they don't ever know if they have found the last note - there will always be a note somewhere in the house ...

Good thing to do for anyone who is going to be working away and not seeing kith and kin for months at a time - my OH worked away when our gang were little, long before internet and mobiles etc and I don't know how we coped - one time he was away driving trains through the chunnel tunnel and it felt so far away like he had left the planet :)

I think it's only natural to feel pessimistic when you hear of so much bad stuff.....in the press, on TV, everyday stuff going on in our own lives....:o

Please feel free to PM me at any time for a chat.

    How's mam doing?

Hi TM. Thanks, Mum is holding her own, still needs daily help from me and is housebound, but managed to keep out of hospital for a while. However my Aunt (her sister) who is 91 is in hospital after a fall :(
Have no idea how I used to work and fit everything in, just seems like am so busy at the moment and not getting anywhere fast.

Just had a firm out, who said i was entitled to a free boiler, mine is 23 years old and useless. Checked boiler and paperwork and told me everything was fine and were sending the gas fitter to do survey/ choose boiler. Just has a call from them to say i am getting the wrong ESA - in Support Group, not income based, so that's a non starter.t
Just wish they knew the rules before sending people out, I specifically asked them if ESA Support was one of the criteria when I applied. That's another couple of hours wasted.

Does anyone use a good spell checker for Google Chrome please ?
I used to use IE Spell on IE, but it doesn't work on Google and the ones I have tried aren't very good.

Hi all, long-time lurker, love reading everyone's posts but never quite having the nerve to go on about anything other than when I have something to offer

Anyway, found something worth sharing at Superdrug today. Loreal Revitalift Laser Renew global day cream (tall red box) was on a plain purple label when all the others were 1/3rd off so I checked the price and it was £2.25.

    https://www.loreal-paris.co.uk/products/skin-care/moisturisers/revitalift-laser-renew-global-care-spf25/

so I bought it and found I had 'won' my basket for free with my H&B card! Went back to the shelf the buy the remaining 4 and got that basket free too! Feels too generous/ much of a coincidence so wasn't sure if it was a glitch on the product? or my card? Didn't dare try another purchase
