Daft question alert coming up :D
My sister is looking to swtich electric and gas, Octopus have contacted her and offered her a good deal
    1) has anyone used them?
    2) Daft question:p now a fixed deal, does it mean even if you used double you would still not pay anymore? seems too good to be true:cool:

It is a fixed rate per unit, if it was for as much as you could use we would all be on the bandwagon :D

There is no such thing as a daft question Bubbs. If you don't know the answer you never will if you don't ask the questions

The thing is they can set her dd at anything they want to tell her its cheaper but her dd may not cover her annual consumption.

This is what we have said, but £97 seems an awful lot for her on her own, she is at work all day even in the winter does not have the heating on all the time, see its different for us as we pay as you go, no choice

is she in arrears because of using more in the winter months?they put our dd up by a stupid amount because we had used alot in the winter but i rang and pointed out we would be using hardly anything in the summer so it would be easily paid back then.they agreed and left our dd as it was.:)

It will be evened out over the year though. And tbh it makes no difference if there's one or two of you really, apart from showers. If the heating is on its on whether there's one or two people in the room, same with lights etc.
She could take a meter reading each month but as its now the summer if she changed her dd she may find her payments don't cover her winter usage.

She was paying £50 something, cant remember what she said, but they have read the meters every time she has had a bill, then had a letter saying it was going up:o as she was in arrears of £395 but she cant see how and told them so with the meter being read
