Thanks I would really like to say you are a jammy b***er :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:but I know you put in lots of hard work at finding stuff so well done
Nah, I'm genuinely just a jammy booger these days. :rotfl:
I only shop at my local A and another A that I pass coming home from work. I've not gone out of my way chasing a glitch for a looooooong time.Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
Thanks E . No but I did read I should be doing this so will remember to do this. It even jammed when only 1 sheet in paper tray though:o.
Sending snap & sister a great big hug.
Sorry to hear about Mr Bubbs.
Good luck tomorrow Sarah
xx
A couple of other thoughts - my inkjet tends to jam in the winter, it is in an open plan room that runs through to the kitchen, I think the paper tends to get slightly damp and that does not help.
Also, have you tried cleaning the feed rollers (you should be able to google this)?
Any printer should be able to take 200gsm these days, it is really not that thick. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
For anyone with a Booths close to them - so for them as well you need to have your re-usuable cups in the car or in your shopping bag ready for the next visit
YOUR BOOTHS CARD BENEFITS ARE CHANGING
We are writing to explain some changes to your Booths card benefits which will come into effect on the 2nd July 2018.
Responsible business practices are integral to Booths and we constantly strive to be a more sustainable retailer. In line with this we have reviewed our current cardholder benefits and are making the following changes to the hot drink benefit.
FROM OUR TAKEAWAY COFFEE MACHINE
We are very much aware that the number of disposable coffee cups we give away is no longer sustainable for the environment or our business.
As a result we are changing the free hot drink benefit. You will still be able to get a free hot drink from the coffee machine by simply bringing your own reusable cup and scanning your card at the till, alternatively we will offer you as a cardholder half price takeaway hot drinks in a disposable cup.
IN OUR CAFÉS
We are constantly working to improve the quality of our caf! experience and therefore we will no longer serve free hot drinks in the caf!. We will offer you half price hot drinks with no food purchase required. Additionally we are introducing exclusive cardholder food offers in the caf! for you to enjoy.
RECYCLING SCHEME FOR DISPOSABLE CUPS AND COFFEE GROUNDS
To further reduce the impact on the environment, later this year we will be introducing a disposable coffee cup recycling scheme in all our stores, encouraging you to return disposable cups to store, where we will take them off your hands and send them to a specialist recycling plant.
Excess coffee grounds from our caf!s and coffee machines will be collected and repurposed into eco heat coffee logs for wood burners and open fires. These logs will be available to purchase in store from Autumn 2018.
NEW CARDHOLDER OFFERS
We are delighted to let you know about some additional cardholder offers we are introducing from July which include; 10% saving on selected loose fruit & veg lines, exclusive cardholder savings on selected caf! and counter lines along with a 10% saving on Booths packaged loose tea and coffee beans.
Don't forget there are many other Booths cardholder benefits, which include a weekend newspaper offer, monthly cardholder offers, 10% off new Booths brand products, exclusive cardholder competitions and e-receipts.
If you have any queries regarding the change in benefits, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0800 221 8707.
Yours sincerely,
Booths Card Team“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

I am now doing a bit of a price collection in M today - whilst I was in the town visiting other stores, I had a quick look in M. (I don't really like being completely out of the loop.) Of course I couldn't find the Greene King (AKA Bo66y) Golden Ale 5L Kegs (Scotland ignore, also Northern Ireland ignore the entire post) that I had at £10 last week and what kind of store doesn't have Chicken Tonight? Someone mentioned a Magnum Ice Cream multipack but of course I knew nothing about that and wasn't looking for it - I think I would have noticed it, if it was there, if I was checking every shelf on a proper price collection but this time I was looking for what was expected to have expired (some have, some haven't it seems) and anything that stood out and this didn't.
So I am using the chance of fairly good afternoon weather (just about) to walk to and from my second M to see if I can find it and also tie up nearly 20 other items that I've decided I could do with seeing - some of which my earlier store (not my usual starting store) didn't have and some which I have carried over.
I even have a price conflict at the petrol station this time. The large sign announcing the price to passing motorists says one price for unleaded but the pumps have a price that is a penny a litre lower. I would not have known that and, had I been driving and seen the higher price (which it came down from in the last week and may be going back up to), it would have encouraged me to go to another supermarket - and I might have ended up paying 1.2p a litre higher than my earlier M actually is. It was only because I was arriving from a store across the road, where I had parked, and had walked to M that I ended up walking over to the petrol station just to see what the fuel price was. On approaching the petrol statoon, I couldn't see the large signage as that was at the other side of the station, near to the road outside, and the distance to one of the pumps to see what was displayed on its LED was lower than the distance to a point at which I would be able to see the station's large display and I took the lazy option and walked the less distance and saw it was still a penny a litre lower than last week and that it had not gone back up (I saw the large price display on exiting later).
Don't go rushing for the Doritos 180g whose £1 offer was due to have expired in M. They are now £1 and 3 for £2 in M, on mix and match with Pepsi 1.5L bottles. As to which Pepsi bottles M has, I would not know from my earlier store - I only have two versions there and it seems incomplete to me. I would also not give you mix and match based on the SELs there. I have the SELs on the Doritos, or maybe some of them (not actually going to the time of checking if every version is in the store as in any event I'd be satisfied they were somewhere else and have all the ones already on my list but they'll now all be on the new offer in M), at 3 for £2. However, the two Pepsi bottles are not in the aisle itself but on an aisle end and the price label in front of those says straight £1:(. They are clearly 3 for £2 as per the Doritos SELs, which indicate Pepsi 1.5L on them, but I'd think you'd need half the stores to have the mix and match on individual SELs on aisle stock - and of course they won't work yet anyway as the offer has apparently only just gone on in M (unless it was somehow on last Wednesday but none of my stores at all put it on display for me but at least half of the price collection stores did and online would also then have to have not been updated either or else be different from the instore price - in short it seems highly unlikely to me).
Apparently Young's frozen Fisherman's Pie (340g) that went onto £1.07 RTC earlier in the year (I think there are cheaper own label Fisherman's Pies available somewhere) went to £1.27 between 2nd and 15th April but then returned to £1.07. I don't know why they do that. It also seems that Wonky Potatoes 2.5Kg, to which A's White Potatoes 2.5Kg were comparing, having gone from 87p to £1 on Wednesday are now back at 87p. Either way, JMB 2Kg Potatoes at 59p in Home Bargains work out cheaper.
The Kitchen Towels mbuy ended last week (it seems to me). The ones that are/were comparing from A's bigger size. It was expected to have ended and I ended up with straight price, no mbuy, on them. It's gone back on today in M, according to my earlier store and according to online as well again which now has the offer on until into September.
Therefore, it seems to me, don't try them now, as they are straight price in M as of last Wednesday but wait a few days in the hope that the mbuy in M today goes into the system.
See you later - I have a one hour walk to my M and another hour back, with apparently 20 minutes to stay at the store. (Just not long enough!)
In any event I will be back well in time for this evening's match. (I won't say "tonight"'s match - we don't have any night at this time of year do we? The most we get is astronomical twilight - I didn't notice this much before but, on closer inspection, it is true - as you know, I am a [Strike]night[/Strike] twilight owl and, at the darkest we get, which is around 1am (our midnight, given that the clocks are forward by an hour), the sky is still never black but rather towards dark indigo or a very very dark blue - I could see the clouds in the sky at around 1am the other day and then of course it starts to get lighter again. We don't get night again until near the end of July, or a few weeks earlier/later if you're farther south/north in the country. It is a midnight but not quite sun as the sun is below the horizon but its rays are reflected to us as the rotation of our planet moves us farther away from and then nearer to the sun.)0 -

Well I've had a bit of a spendy day today
Bought new curtains from Next, but used vouchers I earned from a survey site:j (all but £15).
Went to Sains... as it was near Next and manged to actually buy the yogurts and the dandelion & burdock stuff for COS, not forgetting bread!
Then a trip to Aldi.... so far so good, but then I went to Costco:eek::eek:
Suffice to say I don't need to shop for a month!!
Obviously if a good glitch appears I'll be back out there.
So now I'm packaging and freezing, sorting out the Freezer, making tzatziki, (well I do have to use that yogurt!) and it should go nicely with the whoopsied kebabs I got yesterday. Also making rhubarb crumble to keep grumpy knickers from grumbling too much.
Noticed that there's another £2.50 off wys £10 on Quidco - usual suspects.0
