I think that is one way of thinking you cant get in the habit of doing - thinking there is always a tomorrow or a next week and you can put jobs off until later. I think its even more important to be on top of the normal household drudgery and the endless paperwork and always be in a state of readiness.
You never can tell what the next day will hold and quite possibly it could be something fun :j.
For instance last week I got tickets for the Good Food show on Thursday lunch time - after a bit of thought it was decided on going on Friday - nothing desperately waiting to be done so off I went on Friday morning.
(and also another reason for not procrastinating - someone I know died in their sleep on Thursday night/Friday morning - so for her there was no next day - so better to do things sooner rather than never ....)
as the saying goes .. don't put off tomorrow what you can do today..
I became very aware of life at a young age, my mother died when I was about 4 years old, and im sure that had a bigger impact on my life than I realised
also working for over 30years as part of the community nursing seeing mostly elderly and palliative patients, and being part of the marie curie nurse team, I was privileged to be in the company of palliative patients in their own homes. And having the scare with GS earlier in the year, I try to live life taking into consideration the actions to be the best for whoever they may affect.
I don't want to hurt people along the way but I do want to do things sooner rather than later
gosh that seems a bit heavy for a sunday evening:eek:
Probably because driving down to London this evening there had been an accident which I drove passed, it sent shivers up my spine, all I could see were paramedics obviously working on someone and the air ambulance helicopter close to the patient:( this was on the Soham bypass, which then took me reminiscing about the awful soham murders about 16 years ago of 2 dear little girls...
oh dear how the mind goes into overdrive:(0 -

Dear glitch fairy,
Now I have to be honest with you, I just don't think you're doing your job properly. It's been a bit hit and miss lately hasn't it and all this checkoutsmart stuff is ok but its hard work. You know we like to fill our boots (car boots) when there's a glitch on we don't want to be going all the way to the supermarket for one onken.
Now I'm not saying that in the past you haven't done an amazing job because you have and we are all very grateful but being honest I think you need to pull your socks up love.
Maybe you're on holiday and I missed your permission slip.
Anyway it would be great to see you again very soon.
Kindest wishes

P.S. If you could find a glitch on fever tree I would be eternally grateful, they're sponsoring the tennis so I'm sure sunflower will find us a printable coupon from somewhere x0 -

P.S I need a loo paper glitch, if the fairy is listening :eek:I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Good morning.
This may be of interest for those with kids/grandkids/caring responsibilities.
Free 12 month Kids Pass with selected Vileda purchases (on pack code):
https://shop.vileda.co.uk/blog/kids-pass/
I haven't checked the details yet to spot which would be the cheapest item needed - perhaps someone will have a suggestion?
Is the pass worth having or just discounts you can get elsewhere anyway?
