Me and my brother were tasked with digging the garden pond as kids, needless to say it took many years :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: By the end it was family effort, well it was nearly 9ft x9ft and 3.5ft at it's deepest point.

Me & oH dug ours out one sunny easter year ago. It took 2 and half skips and is 1200 gallons - used a flow meter as filling so we know how much to dose if fish are ill. Unsure how big it is, but it comes up to my shoulders when I was standing in it. It is so relaxing when sitting out next to it. We have a tiny waterfall which keeps it from freezing in winter. We also have a waterlily that I have split into 3 this year so hopefully we will get more flowers as it was pot bound last year. The fish breed rapidly so do not put too many in to start with. We have not seen many frogs this year yet but we did have quite a lot of frog spawn.

What gets me about this is that he doesn't even pause for breath when he reaches the child. :)

    :)

    Ponds

When we were moving to the house in 1971 where my Parents live now - My Dad was allowed to drive there every weekend & build a brick circular pond so we could bring our fish with us (from old pond, Gatwick Airport had bought our house so our fish had to come with us or be bulldozered)
The Sellers enjoyed the attention it got from the birds

    :)

    Still going strong

Don't forget to check your Clubcard vouchers folks, finally managed to check mine only to discover some were going out of date TODAY!

thanks for the reminder. I logged onto ours and we still have good dates - earliest is May 2019 and between us we have a magnificent £16.

I was going to just convert to Thompson & Morgan to use them all up but they no longer seem to be on the list - in fact the list is very much shrunken.
I thought maybe a day out but there is nothing very inspiring - I did notice the Thirsk wild bird centre (as featured on the Yorkshire vets series) but we have already been there.

There were some non chain restaurants but these are all gone now

    Good morning lovely peoples

tweets :A sorry to hear about you Mum :(

I can empathise as I went through similar with my late parents :(

Beautiful sunny day here, looks like I'll be starting to dig a garden pond - after spotting several frogs in our garden, OH wants a home for them - with water Lilies too :o

Have a lovely day everyone and remember to keep hydrated
But where does one put all the stuff one digs out?

You'll have to build a rockery or.......dig another hole to put it in:o

    :D

Forgot to mention. When I called in M yesterday there was a FULL bottom shelf full of reduced pigs trotters:eek:

There were 2 in a pack. I didn't hang around to see what they went down to but I think it would be 10p

    They were hairy:o
