Thinking back its been a good day for freebies
2 free coke zeros from greggs
20 Mullers from Sada - cheap/free, I cant figure out the maths
4 packs of MD beer battered chips - from COS
free hand and face wipe - Morrisosn baby club worth 74p
2 free Bol soups - from shopimum
9 sample bags of Purina - nice sampling chap in Sainsbobs
Free parking spot when we went to Costa
about £7 in vouchers for the next Sada shop (including a womble)
We also had lunch in Costa using a £10 Costa e voucher which I got for a Superdrug loo paper shop back in February (free delivery so OH does not know how much loo paper is stashed)
Costa have a £4.95 meal deal offer on between 11 and 2 for the next couple of months - toasted sandwich, medium drink and either crisps/popcorn or fruit.
Our store does not have the popcornso I got the Tyrells crisps instead, saved for later (OH says we have the start of picnic makings with coke and crisps
)
We had medium lattes - the glasses are massive and heavy. Possibly better to stick to the small ones if you have joint or hand problems - I have to hold these latte glasses with 2 hands as my wrist sometimes plays up,old battle injury.
The toasties were OK but nothing memorable, possibly I had unrealistic expectations of their deliciousness.
I think in retrospect I should have just used the e voucher for various teas or a sharing coffee but I didn't realise that you don't have to spend it all at once - the chap gave me my voucher back as it still has 10p on it which will go towards an upgrade when the next wuntoo freebie coffee is on.
But I do have 345 points on my card now“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
OMG - not sure if I would have the nerve for just 4 days notice.
I have booked with 10 days to go - as you say you don't have time for needless fretting.
In theory its possible as I always have a weekend bag packed and the toiletry/first aid bag is always in readiness so in theory I could fling things into a suitcase very quickly- I have a packing list in my case and all of the usual items we take are in a photo album on the ipad so for hot weather holidays I pack about 70% of the same things each time.
I too always have a toiletry bag/ first aid kit ready to go, my list on computer, his on paper, same things year after year! In fact this year he is not taking his red cheesecloth shirt as the guy that runs a taverna we go to in Corfu said you've had that shirt for a while.:rotfl::rotfl:
It would take a bit longer if it was a sunshine holiday when summer clothes are packed away, but 1 day max! and it would prevent me from getting obsessive about washing and ironing clean clothes just to stuff in a suitcase.:rotfl::rotfl:
Good friend and her hubby just manged 6 days in turkey with only 6 kg hand luggage each... I wish, I think my knickers weigh more than that!!
Think you need to book in advance if, like us, you want a particular place. Away in 8 days time and booked for September too so maybe next year we'll be more adventurous.
(Haven't had confirmation of my holiday request, so hoping I can still go!!)0 -
Also in Sainsbobs I got 3 till spits - didn't get any earlier in the week, which is normal but never get new ones this late in the week.
140 points for Sainsburys meat feast pasta melt 25/05 - at £4.35 its more expensive than the Morrisosn £3 version but the 140 points is tempting -I am going to hang on until I find a reduced one.
120 points for Caf! Royal coffee pods - these are £3 but they are on shopimum with £2 cashback to make then a pound. Eldest childs OH has a new posh neprosso machine
250 points for Perfect Fit cat food 750g - on offer in Sainsburys for £3.50 and I've seen some with "first pack free" stickers so I googled and found this - scan the receipt and upload and money is transferred into your bank account.
https://www.perfect-fit.co.uk/first-pack-free-offer
https://www.perfect-fit.co.uk/media/17785/tcs-for-fpf-updated-dates.pdf
(The Perfect fit till spit came out with the shop on OHs card, the shop that included cat litter but I also got cat food sachets last month so Nectar do seem to be taking notice of what categories of food you buy)
so 2 of the 3 are worth getting, cat food and coffee - £6.50 spend but £5.50 back (TMF and shopimum cashback) and an added 370 nectar points“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Lad and his :footie:
He knocked at door a bit ago and I was busy so left it til I had finished what I was doing.
Went to back door sees ball Poppy goes running to her corner for toilet .
At same time lads friend is jumping over side gate cant see gate til we move onto back lawn.
He froze with arms up in air when he landed in my back Poppy ran to him and wagged her tail.
I shouted at lad don't ever come over my gate again
He said sorry he didn't think I was getting ball so I said its a good job she didn't bite you .
Now I am sat wondering what would have happened if Poppy had bit him ? :mad:0 -
Topcashback have their bank holiday bonus offer running again, log onto your account to activate.
But this time it needs a £25 shop - in reality a £30 shop to include 20% vat to get £2.50 bonus
OK, I suppose if you already have a purchase in mind but some of the vouchercode offers have been very good recently for discount codes and bonus offers and fairly quick to deliver - no waiting for up to 6 months ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
