Further to my Whisky APG the following are all £16 in both Tesco and Asda so in theory should work as long as 8 items bought...

    Famous Grouse
    Bacardi
    Pimms
    Captain Morgan spiced

Well done Mr mhoc, and well done to T's customer service dod for actually remembering their own policy!!

I think my OH has been abducted by aliens and replaced by a much more mellowed out clone
He surpassed himself in mr Ts yesterday by remembering the DD policy, something I'd not thought about in years.
And in Sada this morning when we were doing a very strict Muller shop list and resisting any urge to put in non listed items.
And in sorting out all the technical issues with phones and apps we seem to have been plagued with over the last few days. Its me that was turning the air blue and ready to fling phones and tablets across the floor and he has just sorted out the issues :rotfl:

The whisky is against Tesco. I think other spirits will also work as there are a few in Tesco for the same price.

    Hope that helps

Well done on booking, may well help fourp too :T:T

When we went to Cuba we booked 4 days before we went. That is so close you don't have time to panic, you just pack and go, I far prefer that to having to twiddle my thumbs for months on end :D

OMG - not sure if I would have the nerve for just 4 days notice.
I have booked with 10 days to go - as you say you don't have time for needless fretting.
In theory its possible as I always have a weekend bag packed and the toiletry/first aid bag is always in readiness so in theory I could fling things into a suitcase very quickly- I have a packing list in my case and all of the usual items we take are in a photo album on the ipad so for hot weather holidays I pack about 70% of the same things each time.

    good idea

Also some hostels etc stipulate no deodorant sprays as they set off sprinkler systems so roll ons are a better choice.
True, but our young people are not in hostels, we support them moving on into their own tenancies.

And breathe & maybe have some lunch...

Got up at 9am & Fourp decided we would go on holiday...
House Sitter checked and the first week in June was agreed...

Found Austria, Germany, Sicily & Salou..

So we are going to Portaventura as we love the pool & the food & this time will be 'watching' the big rides, see the shows, gentle rides... Sun on our backs :D

Then the Etap cheapie hotel at airport was £113 :eek: must be something big on at NEC :(
Had to find a substitute in Birmingham centre & will catch first train to airport in morning. :) £37 Ibis will do :)
I have 30 days to stress :eek: :o how on earth do folk do last minute?
Next was travel insurance.. that's changed too as it now asks about pulmonary embolisms on the DVT declaration :) It didn't want to know about Gout :o
    Then train tickets booked :)

Seats chosen on plane & my extra luggage took up the £50 off but has tracked on Q already :)

:eek::eek: Oh my faith we are going away :eek:

Well done, all sorted so nothing to fret about now.
