When we went to Cuba we booked 4 days before we went. That is so close you don't have time to panic, you just pack and go, I far prefer that to having to twiddle my thumbs for months on end
I am one of those people who writes a list, packs, unpack, re-write lists, repack, unpack, move things around, over analysis what we will need, re-write lists and repack before a holiday.
But one day I went out in the morning (to hand my last essay in for uni) and left OH with the task of booking a camp site for a weekend and packing the car... I came back to him smiling like a cheshire cat - he had booked America for 2 weeks leaving that evening.
First response was we could not go because 1. I was due to start work. 2. Eldest son was due to start his A levels, 3. Youngest son was due to start senior school - one hour debate about whether we could do - 30 minutes packing and off we went - whilst sat in the airport letters wrote to the schools and telephone call to new employer - who was unavailable so I left a message that I would start the week later as OH had booked a surprise holiday.
It was the most easiest preparation for a holiday ever - and we had everything we needed and was not stressed when we got there. Fab holiday x100 -
We have also been to Morribobs today as its salad weather :j
I always check the mash Direct section for yellow labels and I found 4 packs of the beer battered chips for £1.44 each - ultra cheap yellow labels are like hens teeth around here so you just accept any yellow labels however meagre the discount.
As it is we are completely out of chips in the freezer so at least they have filled a gap and COS accepted my receipts :T
Also got a till spit from Morrisosn baby club for a free pack of Nutmeg hand and face wipes worth 74p valid until May 11th - these will go into the food bank trolley when I can get to Mr Ts
Odd how I got them with my M card but not OH ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

And then onto Sainbobs to get the Bol soup - for shopimum - odd that my store stocks it but not the numerous other shopimum and COS freebies
In store I checked the app to make sure I had the right item - it comes with annoying very loud jazzy music.
At home I went to upload my receipt and the Bol was no longer on the main shopimum list  and I didnt have a recently closed list either.
Instead it had moved to the section called Food
Moment of panic there - it is due to expire today but as I'd only just checked it in Sainsbobs not half an hour before so it was more than annoying.
OHs Bol was still on the main list on his app“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Snap, oooh a holiday, sounds fab.
Wish OH would book one, I keep pestering him.0 -

drat - wish I'd remembered the Jacobs this morning as they could have gone onto the Muller list - 2 packs for £2 matching Sainsbobs £1 each - in theory - can anyone confirm this?
Possibly good additions for food banks?
We have been eating them as late night snacks with the gorgeous tickler cheese from Sainsbobs - possibly as many kcalories as the crisps we are trying to stop ourselves from eating“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Has anyone had any issues loading receipts onto COS today.
On OHS android phone - Samsung it just crashed after the first photo so I gave the phone back to OH to try and figure out what the problem was.
He then managed to get it to stay live but each of the photos came up with a thick silver stripe across it.
So he just kept snapping until he had 2 acceptable photos with no silver lines and loaded them up - didn't risk taking any more than 2 pics.
His receipt was accepted fortunately :j
But has anyone had similar problems and do they know what caused it?“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
