Caught up now, so apologies for so many posts in a row!

After considering getting a Halif.. Clarity card for years I set about it last week,. Already have one of their normal cards... must have got it when there was a good offer:rotfl: Spent 15 mins on phone, didn't want and extra card, just wanted to swap, when it came to nearly the end she said I would have to prove my identity as that hadn't been done for the card I've had for 5+ years. So today went into 'branch' nice chap, cup of coffee, he went over everything I did on the phone and it seems I can have one!
No money back or whatever, but hopefully it will save money on our holidays.

It's the first time I've actually spoken to somebody face to face for years regarding money! and it was such a relief to know that my credit record is now ace and also that I don't give a flying fig if you say yes or no! That didn't used to be the case.

A good place to have a look at your financial records.

I tried to apply for a clarity card last year when the £20 cashback offer was on if you used it just once. I was turned down - mind you I applied online so I think that was the problem - I should have rung up.

Does his job actually involve driving - does he need to drive as part of his job?

To me its just seems ludicrous to ask for a qualification even if you don't need it for the actual work involved

Mind you it often seems to be the case now, that employers ask for qualifications that jobs don't actually need. And worst still they don't even pay any extra for having the qualifications asked for.

Back in 2016 they tried to implement this minimum grade C maths and English for nursery workers but they eventually had to scrap it

No not at the moment but the Uni is moving, it wont all be in one place and the stores what he does will not be on campus
